Need help with trimming and identifying

I'm now 9 weeks from seedling sprout and 4 weeks into flower. This is a fairly bushy little lady. Does she look like she could stand a little trimming? The main reason I am even am even considering trimming is because I have heard it might initially shock the plant , but will soon become worth it because more energy will start to go to upper bud growth. I have already cut off the fan leaves towards the bottom that were only attached to the main stem, not to any bud sites. What other leaves would it be ok to trim if any? There is some secondary growth stems that don't appear that they will ever produce buds. There is also a lot of lower secondary growth with smaller leaves that are connected to bud sites. Should I just leave any leaves attached to bud sites alone, period? I've just been tucking and pinning leaves under to expose buds as much as possible.

Also, can anyone give me a clue as to what this type and strain this plant looks like it might be? Does it look like the plant and cola have reached their ending point for new growth and it's now just about the buds growing? She is about 26 inches in height.

I'm not having any problems with the plants as far as pH or nutes, it's a pretty healthy girl. Hydro using Botanicare line.

Anyone who can identify this type and strain of plant? From what i have researched, it seems like a full on indica, but are there any tell-tell signs of the true strain it might be and how long I can expect to keep this baby in flower?
