Need help with possible transplant shock

Good morning everyone-first time indoor grower here, I just moved the plants into their final home yest and they are not looking too good. Any recommendations on what to do would be appreciated

They were in small containers, canna nutrients, coco, vivosun light, fan humidifiers before I moved them and they looked great.

I put them in the tent which has different lights optic led slim 650s and slim 600 about 24” above plants set at 50% strength

I gave them light feeding of canna nutrients after I transplanted them, I used greatwhite miccorhizae before I put new plants down. The temp is a bit higher around 80, so I turned up the exhaust fan.

This is the first time I’ve used the tent, been setting it up for months. I have a bunch of acinfinity clip on fans etc and controller I’m going to set up today

Any help would be appreciated

You should adjust one perameter at a time .Allow time after transplant to establish again.Then move to new lights,that way you can narrow down what happened.Im an outdoor grower but I would reduce lights for a bit.GL

You’re rushing to go nowhere. Those plants should still be in the green floraflex pots and not in the 5 gallon buckets yet imo.

Seeing heat stress. What’s the temperature in the tent at plant level?

Was at 80, fan have it down to 74 now
They are much more powerful lights, which is why I have them at 50% max, maybe I should lower a bit?

This morning I saw this, would this be light burn?

Those necrotic spots are due to pH fluctuations. The plants look as if the pH isn’t right either.

How are you mixing your nutrients/what pH is the feed?

Coco should be fed until runoff at least once a day, with you prematurely putting them into 5 gallon pots you’re going to struggle even more over the next couple weeks since flooding that large of pots daily with such small plants is going to have negative effects.

I’m feeding them twice a day now about a litre, they are getting runoff as I hear the runoff pumps kicking in
Yesterday was the first time I mixed up nutes in the big drum, but I hand watered them.

The system is set up so it can mix itself up, it goes out through the bottom of the drum and back in through the top opening. I have a hose with watering wand that I used. The valve to automate the feeding was closed

If you are putting in a litre of nutrient solution in 5 gallons of coco and getting run off to where the pump turn on then the plants are obviously soaking wet still.

Look into "COCO CEC" you want to feed standard strength especially when transplanting into fresh coco even if they say its "pre buffered". simply put the coco eats up a lot of the nutrition the plant needs when initially contacted with it.

I veg some pretty large plants under super dimmed LEDs, you can use the Photone app to see what your PPFD is and adjust accordingly.

PAR Levels (PPFD)
Seedling / Clone: 100 – 300
Vegetative: 250 – 600
Bloom / Flowering: 500 – 1050

I personally run my lights at the lower to mid end of these parameters with good results. I also distance the lights a fair distance away.


Some temperature & humidity considerations as well for ya.

Once you get these few things dialed in they'll blow up.

The light is too strong, it’s too close and 50 percent is way too much. Get it up around 36” to around 20-25 percent for now.

Your absolutely right, I read it wrong on their website-Ive now lowered to 25% and raised them a bit

Turns out ph was off, it was over 7 when I got home, then an hour later it was 6.7.
I soaked it in solution and recalibrated it, hopefully it’s all good now

Do you have any other info or help on the spotting, they have become more prevelant last day or so

I’ve lowered light power , humidity is close to 60 %, raised the lights a few inches, temp is 73-74

I have used the light feeding schedule from canna and have been hand watering them, double checking the ph, it’s been about 6,0-6.1

I was off the one time when I originally transplanted, it was closed to 7
the ph meter was giving different reading, I’ve since calibrated it and tested it.
