Are you sure it's a male flower?
The female calyx, the main part of the female flower, will grow a seed if pollenated, so it looks like a seed pod, which is exactly what it is. But when it isn't pollenated, it plumps up and looks like a seed is in there.
Pull one off, and split it open and look inside.
