I have a dinafem white widow thats about month & a half old, I cut her lights down but, It has not been consistent, its been drasticlly different each day over the last week... Is this going to, or has it all ready messed it up to not flower ??? Im use to growing the autos, & too cheap to buy a timer, so am I wasting my time now ???

Let me make sure I've got this straight: You've been vegging a WW for about 6 weeks and now you want to flower. You don't have a timer so you've been manually turning the light on and off. But you haven't been doing this with any consistency, and the light is on/off for different times on different days, right?

First, what do you mean by drastically different? You're aiming for 12/12 right? Have you seen any stretch or preflower formation?

Since its only been a week, it's probably not so messed up that it won't flower. But it's important to fix your light cycle asap. Get a timer. You've already bought lights, seeds, ferts, etc... what's a $10 timer? Or pick a suitable and convenient time to turn on/off the light manually and be consistent. Having an inconsistent light cycle all throughout the flowering period is a recipe for disaster.

How inconsistent???... j don't use a timer...I have one but it threw my breaker once or twice when it kicked on so I don't use it...I manually switch my lights daily but it may vary an hour...half hour... 45 mins...15 mins...every day..some nights they get 10 hrs darkness...some nights 9...some 13...some 11...its never exactly 12/12...I work 12 hour shifts so I just flip em off before I go in and bk on when I come home...week to week I switch from days to night shift...so some weeks they get more darkness...some less... never less than 9 hours of darkness tho....my plants do awesome if u wanna chk my threads .

First off if your tripping the breaker then you have other issues you need to address. What else do you have on that breaker? A small timer uses very little power so if its tripping then you are maxed out or overloading that breaker.

Get them on a timer and you should be fine. Screwing there light cycle will only result in less production and possibly hermies. The faster you get a good timer the better.

What I do works for me....I know why the breaker trips...I've been running my grows this way since October w ridiculous success for cfls....View attachment 253985820130204_123312.jpg1356352904101.jpg1359123909182.jpg I like giving them more or less darkness when ever I want too....enuf research and experience will show u it doesn't have to b exactly 12/12....that's pretty closed minded considering in nature there's not a 12/12 cycle....ever

Those blue buds are just beautiful, I hope when I get my next batch of autos here mine look half as good as yours. I had a couple times I couldnt get back in town to change the lights at the 12 hrs. it was more like 15 or so. Now tonight she looks all wilted cause I was out of town again with my window open & it was like 22 degrees outside. Im definatly getting a timer because I have a bunnch of freebies coming with my order that arnt autos so will need it. I have been doing autos cause their much easier for me with my crazy schedule. Yes I have a slight stretch, nothing much, & no sign of flowering yet.

Well then you if you dont want to have a timer for your lights then you NEED to make sure you are turning the lights on and off at the same time each day when in 12/12 or you will mess up the plants and they may hermi. This is directed toward the OP who by the sounds of it has been turning the lights on and off at inconsistent times.

The advice is well taken, & now have one but I live so far in the sticks that the crappy walmart we have didnt have anything that cheap so had to spring for the only one they had at $39.97, but if I havent all ready done her too much damage should repay me good. I have some black russian, black widow, LA confidential, & LA woman in regular plants as freebies coming, do any of you have any experience with them ??? I think Im going to just give them to my kids if their not very good or have lots of problems with them, Im just wanting my autos to hurry & get here. I have some think different, blue mammoth, critical + auto, & super mango's that Im really waiting to get going. The only one I have grown is the critical + auto, & it was killer.
