Some questions I have that I hope folks can help me with . # 1 - If I use fox farm Ocean forest soil will I have to mix anything else with it . Pearlite ? Etc . # 2 - Can somebody recommend a nutrient for the vegetative stage and a nutrient for the flowering stage , can I use fox farm nutrients ? # 3 - I am going to use CFL bulbs but could use some guidance on how many bulbs for a one or two plant grow and kelvin , watts or lumens each for the vegetative stage and for the flowering stage . I will have more questions later but if I could get some different responses here it could help me decide on how to proceed . I have some seeds but don ' t know the strain but it is very good . Thank you .

I wouldnt recommend using cfls to flower .not saying it cannot be done just that it usually has not so great results.....ocean forrest is a good organic medium but it is alil bit hot . U can mix it with fox farms happy frog. And u can use fox farms nutes .you just have to keep your ph in check and flush your plants every 7-21 days for salt buildup good luck with your grow!
Btw if you are using a t5 to grow with the 6 bulb is about 325 watts so a 400 watt HID isnt far off and will produce better results

I would cut the ocean forrest with a 50/50 ratio...
I donnot know if nurserys carry fox farm products they are available online.....
As for nutes go i always used to start out with chem ferts at 1/4th the recommended dosage and see how my plants reacted ...if u have burnt tips on your leaves its a sign to back off on the nutes .......
Flushing your medium is simple u use three times the amount of water to volume of the pot size 3 g pots need 9 gallons of water with a mild nutrient solution you dont wanna leave em with no food after flushing out all the bad salts that build up in your rhizosphere "rootball"
I dont use chem ferts anymore the constant dealing with the ph and worrying about what ratios to mix nutrient a with nutrient b and c n so on .....now i use super soil wich is a recipe of organic soil ammendments mixed with a good quality organic soil and u let it set in a storage container for six weeks to allow the bennificial micro organisms to break the ammendments down and thus making nutrients readily available to your plants .if you do not let it sit for the appropriate amount of time the soil will be hot and burn the plants and possibly the roots because when the soil is doing its thing it generates heat its definently something to look into because it frees up time that u use up mixing nutes and worrying about your ph all i have to add is water and with a few crops u can dial in how much super soil to use with what strains according to how much food they can handle waiting for the soil is a pain in the ass...but i my humble opinion its worth the wait because I FEEL that for some reason every nutrient program i have used was leaving a taste in the finished product "not all the same tastes" peopl can argue with that all they want n i have smoked some really well grown crops grown with advanced nutrients and flawlessly grown i cannot taste it as much in those buds but.. it still leaves a taste in my mouth i just dont like ...and mind u the grower is a very very skilled grower in a very planned n controlled environment .im not in any way shape or form dissing anyone that uses chem ferts or advanced nutrients .... i just feel that after smoking truly grown well organic buds that i would rather smoke meds that have never touched any chemicals what so ever ...im not a vegan or someone that worries alot about gmo products or anything of the sort i just know that for me organic bud is the way to go neither am i trying to push it on you as a grower to make that choice to go that route im just sharing my opinion thats all ....anyhow good luck to you ...and may the dank be with you!
