Need help with experiment.

I would like to do some different experiments, to test how specific growing conditions such as co2, lumens, rez temp, and so on affect plant growth. My problem is I can not grow cannabis right now because I live in an apartment. What plant could I grow that would be best suited for these experiments? I would be happy to post all pics and findings.

Im pretty excited about it. Im going to have a control for each of the test's also. Genetics from the same grower. Im going to do a few with stuff you can find at home depot, lowes, and wal mart. Things that are easy to get for first time growers.
