Hello, I live in New England and we have relatively short seasons. I am aiming for a nice size greenhouse around 20x40 to leave a little extra room. I would like to black box it, and use gravitas for lighting. I will use a pellet stove for heat in early spring and fall. I am considering using raised beds, with a nice super soil. Possibly Vermont composts' Fort Vee .I will run Co2, and ventilate with a huge fan. I am open to any advice or alternative ways to make things happen. I appreciate everyone input. Thanks Bill

PS Anyone recommend any Master GreenHouse Contollers or and lighting contollers, vents fans etc. Please give me some feedback! I would like to purchase everything in as high quality materials as can be.

Start small grow bigger as your experience gains will save you a lot. I started with 12 plants my first time since then I have significantly reduced the number down to 3 in my run that I just did. This time I had 3 times as much as I did with the 12 plants around 20.5 oz wet, the first time was around 15 oz give or take.

I appreciate your concern sk. Def not my first rodeo. I have done numerous indoor ops. I currently use Gavita Pro DE. Ive lended a hand on a few other bigger greenhouse ops and we were always pulling at least 40 oz per plant. we start them indoors and flower at 4ft tall. I just looking on input for number of lights I should use, peoples opinions on medium, and ventilation methods for the most part.

Like sk12 said, i'd recommend starting smaller before jumping to 36 plants. If you want to grow 36 plants you should already have an extensive knowledge, and the fact that your posting in "newbie central" tells me otherwise. I'd begin with 12 plants and see if you can handle any issues that may arise. Any specific reason why your set on gravitas? I've always thought they were a fair bit over priced.

I have been running em indoors for about a year now. Awesome PAR rating, reliable and lasting as far as the gravitas go. It will be my first real outdoor grow, hence newbie central. I pull well over a pound a light indoors with these lights. I don't need an instruction booklet. I am asking for recommendations and opionions on options and variables. I am aware of the elements it takes to grow healthy plants thanks.
