So i succesfully germinated 2 seeds May 1st, one Barneys LSD and one WW x BB. a week later i germinated another LSD and one Red Dragon. Right now i got all four under a 400 MH, temperature stays right around 78F, and humidity at around 40%. Around May 15 I put them all in DWC with hydroton as the substrate. The first LSD and the WW x BB were given 1/4 strength of Botanicare Pure Blend Pure Grow and half of Liquid Karma, the last two were just given half strength of the Liquid Karma. Well the problem is with the WW x BB and the last LSD and partially with all of them. The WW x BB had its first set of true leaves turn yellow on me, I know mostly because my PH was off (over 7), i was using the strips and thought it was good until i decided to purchase a digital one and saw was way off. so i adjusted the PH on all down to 5.8 and saw the baby getting better, leaves started to turn green again. then from one day to the next they just turned yellow and got really crispy and dead. Now with the last LSD it just doesnt seem to grow at all, its looked the same for almost a week now!! the others are showing some grow but really slow. Am I doing something wrong??!! Oh and a couple days after switching to DWC so around May 17-18 and before i got m y grow tent, they were in the closet and the temp did get to 92F when i caught it and opened up the doors and windows and put extra fans to get it down to around 85F. Any help is greatly appreciated.

With the DWC:

1. Temps at least between 70-75
2. Water temp between 68-73
3. Iknow it says 1/4 strength. Id do even less than that. Half strength way too much. Baby step feed.
4. Proper type water. If not RO spring water.
5. PPM knowledge thus meter.
These are things to consider.
Im no expert yet but you have to be all the way supervisor over this type of grow nature. Water must always be cool and temps has to be perfect. And always use less nutrients. Id even look into the Lucas Formula. Its a challange with DWC if you are not prepared properly. But i hope you get things going good. Because DWC if not done properly will waist lots of time and effort plants or good seeds elect and water. GGing.

Also, refresh the reses and just feed them phd water and if you are using clean water make sure you give them cal mag. But not really if your using tap.

Just let them try and recooperate and watch their ph levels. And you have to tend to them differently do to different strains. When you set them at a perfect 5.8 watch to see the rise of the ph levels you know stay monitoring them. They will al be different. You will have to ph almost everyday. And sometimes they will leave that 5.8 and rise to what they are comfortable with and sometimes they will go a lil lower ir stay right around 5.8-6.2...

Also, they will still grow but when they begin to grow when theyre green... theyll begin to lose color indicating that they are hungry. Then you feed less than what they say until the plant becomes more aggressively hungry than bump it up to the 1/4 strength. Then if they require more bump it up to the next level. But id use a method like, in the second week of plants life id use the first weeks dosage. In the third week id use the first or the second weeks dosage. Until a certain steady dosage is not too much and not too less. Until the growth of the plant tells you to bump it up...

Well the first two are about three weeks old this weekend. The WW x BB that had its first true leaves dead. And the other two are two weeks old. So should I give them very little nutes or still switch to non-nute water?

Ah ok. I will switch out right now to just clean tap ph'd water on all and see how they do. Thanks
Tap water for now is ok because thats is all you have. But clorine will interfere causing the ph levels to increase. This is why you will have to monitor everyday. But now because of tap water id drop ph down to 5.5. And monitor everyday to see what the levels in crease to. And keep the levels phd in between what they increase to and 5.5. They shouldnt rise above 6.3 in a days time.

Id give no nutes until the color green comes back first. See now its not a matter of weekly schedule until they are back healthy. Because they all are considered sickly. So they all have to subject to the same health care until they as individuals begin to show recovery. And they again will express differently. One wil begin to heal quicker than the other you know what i mean... So the but you want all of them to be green before you put them back on nutes. Once green let them show lightness in their leaves then ween them with a soft touch of nutes. If no color changes bump it a little til you see nice green again. Thus you will refresh reses say every week or two to ensure cooler water temp being without a chiller. Cleaness of reses. And get them some root inouculant( beneficial bacteria or microbs you know...

What is your water levels in the reses? And what kind of res or reses exactly do you run?
ok i see you got either 3 or 5 gallon buckets. Id use only 2 to 2.5 gallons of water for the 5 gallon reses. And mabe 1 to 1.5 for the three. You dont want the water to high over wetting the grow clay because the roots will linger in the clay stones. Make them chase that moisture. And accationally light refresh the stones with phd water from up top.

Yea I have them in 5 gallon buckets and I put in about 3.5 gallons of the nutrient water, so about an inch under the little tray holding the substrate.
