need help w experiencing DMT....

Ive come to the conclusion that this is a matter im gonna have to take into my own hands....literally.
Abt two years ago im grabbin a bag of smoke off my buddy n he says "hey bro I got some dmt"..."wanna try it?"...I was big into hallucinogens when I was younger but by this point had experienced all lsd n shrooms had to offer hundreds of times so I wasnt intersted in hallucinogens anymore.. I was neck deep in an opiate addiction when this offer was made so I passed...basically...I took one small hit of some yellow powder n the tv n room looked cooler for a few minutes but that was it..i didnt hit it big n only hit it once....I only hit it to passify him I wasnt doin it to experience it...I didnt know what it was and wasnt interested im sure my next stop after his house was the dope mans house n thats where my mind really was....anyway I missed out...I learned abt dmt and what dmt is not long after n ive kicked myself in the ass daily for letting that opportunity pass me by....im obsessed w it now..not cause I wanna get hi but for my own interests...I found out what dmt was by running across it while I was reading abt other intersts of mine concerning consciousness spirituality and the origin of man/human history....its calling me...now im calling for it....I have a buddy thats done it a few times but hes since lost his connect on it and we were in the process of trying to get it thru the silk road when all that went down...
I guess ima have to extract it myself...can someone w experience plz tel me what to order..what site is best to order from...and simplest extraction method....thanks...oh and does anyone have any experience or any knowledge of the prebrewed and bottled ayahuasca tea...shits like $350 a bottle but is it legit?

And a I have a straight up question...is dmt all its cracked up to be w these videos n trip reprts all over you tube?...like im under the impression that its literally a link to the spritual realm....or whatever. ..
Is it?...
Or are u just blasted out of ur mind trippin real hard?....

DMT is wonderful. What hyperspace is open to interpretation but it's quite unlike other psychedelic drugs.
The sticked thread "Extractions Explained" goes over the details of how to do a liquid liquid (acid base) extraction. I use mecaline as the example but all you need to do for DMT is adjust the pH down slightly (mescaline has a pKa of ~9.6 while DMT is ~8.7) and I would recommend using a milder organic solvent like hexane or naphtha unless you want a jungle spice type extract, in which case go ahead and use toluene.

Im interested in ur opinion and interpretation of the experience....is it "real" to u or do u just consider it a wild hallucination?...
And im not familiar w any of those solvents ur tlkn abt I have zero knowledge on that sorta thing...which makes me uneasy abt tryin to do it by myself unsupervised unless I had step by step detailed instructions and even then idk if id wanna b my own test dummy on the stff...ha..idk I guess I could do it...im gonna go read ur sticky...can u stil order from a reputable place the root bark or leaves or whatever it is u need?...whats the best place?

The brain has a ton of filters that keep us from being overloaded by the amount of sensory information we have to process. Psychedelics turn off some of these. DMT seems to do so to a much greater extent than anything else I've tried. So whether or not it's real comes down to your point of view.
MHRB is a bitch to get these days. Acacia is a good source that should be easier to get. Do some googling. Look up how to do a liquid liquid extraction of caffeine from tea leaves. There should be some videos on youtube, it's a classic first year organic lab. You might want to try using tea leaves until you're comfortable with the procedure.

You can get everything you need from ebay and lowes/homedepot/truevalue..except mhrb..that's the tricky one..I found a kilo for 150$ a few weeks back but never ordered it(had more impending issues)..and ducks the fowl to talk to about extractions or techniques..

$150 for a kilo, I wouldn't have ordered either. Shit, used to be $35 per lb.

Read an interesting report from some archaeologist who claimed indians of the southwest used acacia blossoms as a halucinogen. Unfortunately he didn't identify the species or demonstrate that there were actually any active ingredients in such plants so he was pretty much guessing and talking out his ass. Unless perhaps he had eaten the same blossoms and gotten an effect but didn't want to admit to it.

Saw all manner of mimosa and acacia trees in california last time I was there. I suspect there are plants that have been imported into the US for landscaping with active ingredients but dammit all those mimosas and acacias look the same.

A kilo at 150$ and a pound at 35$..not too far off bro...I think price and availabilty go hand in hand when it comes to these things...
I believed I've posted before about a type of mimosa that grows around where I live..has these pink poofball flowers that its said by the hillbillys that are the locals,if you 'dip' these flowers like snuff,you'll trip,but its a nasty trip,like taking too much cold medicine..
Try to find mhrb for that price..ill commend your dilligence..its hard to find nowadays..

That's a doubling in price. It could be a lot worse. A kg of MHRB should pull 10g or more of DMT so it's still a very good price.

DMT like other halucinogens shut down the default mode network. The parts of your brain involved with sense of self, continuity etc. These things get shut down during sleep but not normally during waking hours. I suspect this is why the experience with DMT seems to be one which is familiar. You feel like you have been there before. When the default mode network is shut down you can sense the remaining parts of the brain easier. Awareness, the witness state may be experienced. I suspect there are other parts of the brain still functional and these sections may be experienced as a separate consciousness or entity.

So, what is the value of this experience? I suppose it is whatever you take away from the experience. I found the witness state to be quite amazing. It was a very pure and singular state which I now realize is at the core of my existance. It was still there after ego had been totally stripped away. It's something pure which the outside world can't touch. Now that I know it is in there, I can look for it and hopefully draw upon it. I realized that this state exists in all people and it is something we share in common that binds us together as humans.

I understand what captured Shulgins imagination and his statement that the experience is not in the drug, the drug is a catalyst for something that is already there. I've experienced some amazing states with halucinogens and I realize that they weren't in the drug, they were in my mind. The brain is capable of some amazing states of existance which are normally unknown to us. I don't know if these states are locked away, only accessible by drugs or if the drugs just show us the potential of what we can experience and there are other routes to these experiences.

I you don't know where you can go, you will never get there. Halucinogens show us a whole new world we are capable of existing in. The question is, can we return there without them at some point?

Looking towards others imagination...hmmm...I feel I never needed to admire others..when one reverts back to the inexplicable..and trys to explain,well,I feel one may 'accept'..and start stating knowledge widley accepted,and used as a 'go to'..and it may dilute the things trying to be explained .and a base is allways sought after...

I look at shulgin as who he was..lucky..lucky that he was able to be him....no one else has been..and if they tried,they tried for him..not them..if I had the knowledge or power or ability to be shulgin..I would be..if I were shulgin,would I want to be?
