Need Help w/Cooling 5x5x6'8 tent 600watt

I would drop that filter and set it on the floor in the corner right below the vent in the roof and straight pipe it out the top. Do you have vents on opposite sides directly across from each other? I would run a light in between those two vents and run your ducting from one side thru the light and out the other side. Make sure you fans are pulling fresh air across your hood, not pushing.

I just have the 1 vent on the right top corner and each wall back and 2 sides have open flaps for intake I guess pretty weak :/

And that does sound like something I was thinking about which is setting filter on floor and setting inline on it directly connecting to it and sealing it with ducting tape and having it go straight up so it have like perfect airflow and minimum cfm loss

If I do that I don't have anything for the light to vent through another hole I wouldn't mid making one lol

That's why I was thinking of a t5 to save me money and heat at least until I flower and go back to this 600 watt

I will post more pics soon after 6 when lights come on
I really need to switch this ducting up and reduce this heat

Plants still looking pretty good tho

Would it be a good idea if I just added a booster fan to the connection
Carbon filter(top or bottom?) directly connected? > ducting >booster fan > hood> ducting out tent all one connection.

Does the 2 vent's with a flap have a hole for a duct? If I was you, I would put the 600 away till flower. Set up a 8 bulb T5 and run the filter on the ground with the fan on top like you thought. Just the filter should be enough air flow with the T5 only. When it's time to flower I would leave the filter where it is. Set up the 600 between your two vents with flaps and run a fan on one side. You will be pulling fresh air in through one side and exhausting out the other.

No that's my problem this tent only has 1 6" hole for duct which is the top right corner in pic.

I was planning on saving up for this one or something like this

Or this one

If you guys know any similar to this on amazon plz send link
I need to get rid of this one want to sell it and get something with more holes to vent

The tent now is what is messing my setup not many options
Working stupid hours so putting some money away soon to get me a t5
I see there are different bulbs some have 4 or 5 even 6 what would you guys recommend for my 9 code blue plants

You think this one would be fine?

Yeah that tent doesn't have a very good layout. If it is exactly as the one pictured with exactly the same port holes, you can still manage it, but you would be exhausting unfiltered. If you wanted to buy another filter you could get it done. I think a T5, the more lights the better, would eliminate your heat problem. Have you checked Costco for grow equipment? They have amazing deals, they stock tents and ballasts. How old is your tent? see if you can't return it for a refund?

How would I go about exhausting filtered or unfiltered?
Just hang light and have a booster exhaust it or have another filter (as in carbon filter) or like a dust shroom or something

Would you recommend me now just setting filter on floor and having inline directly connected and leave hood just hanging until I can get me some t5's
Or try to straighten ducting and reduce the loss of cfm

I think in future I am going to change this tent around flower in like 2 months or less and try to get me those lights ASAP until I can properly set it up a little better

Would these be cool there not that bad in price

Another quick question when im able to connect it the way in the pic you made with the booster blowing through the hood straight through the tent when ducting goes out both ends does both ends need to be covered with big blockers?

And no I won't be about to return it ive had it for over like 3 months so I'll have to get rid of it online and get me another one that's proper
Out the 2 links which would you recommend?

I would try and get your HID working, I wouldn't go the T5 route unless you run out of all other options. A 4', 4bulb T5 would be a last resort, IMO>better then nothing but nothing compared to a 600w. ALSO, T5's get hotter then people say. The fixture itself puts off heat. I need approx the same set up to cool a 8 tube t5 in a 4x4 tent as I do to cool a 600w HID bulb. I highly recommend trying what to rearrange stuff and figuring out the heat issue using the HID-you will be glad you did. A T5 is alright to veg, especially once you get perpetual-just don't be fooled it's going to compete with an HID. If you veg under a 600 you'll see about twice the growth vs t5s(unless you use an ungodly amount of them on every side of the plant). SO, if your using one tent for veg and flower-stick with the HID it's going to save you SOOO much time.

P.S!!! I almost forgot...at hardware stores they sell 4" and 6" ducting 'ports', basically a 4" or 6" hard round peice of ducting with metal square flashing around it, they are for going through roofs and stuff. I've seen people make their own holes in tents using them and some guerilla tape. So for a couple bucks you could put vents where ever you want them. DO NOT PUT YOUR FILTER ON THE GROUND if your sucking air through it and exhausting-hot air goes out high-cool air comes in low.

Now this I don't get,we are trying to pull cool fresh air from the vents in the floor(cause that's where the plants are), exactly what you say not to do.

You can also keep one side of the hood open and exhaust through the other. You will be pulling the air in the room through the light out the tent. You smelling what I'm putting down @AttackOnDabs ?

i was saying your intake should be low and your outtake high. this makes a big difference. cool air sinks, hot air rises. if the filterwas on the floor instead of.up high it would be sucking hot air back down-

So my problem I figured it out is that my ambient temperature in my garage is too high that's why tent is a couple degrees higher. The low In my garage gets to 82 which my tent gets too.

Online people suggest portable ac with ducting but idk about using more electricity for something like that. Is there another way I can bring down temps in my garage. I have a window that I leave open

As you can see in the pics ducting goes up and goes down hanging just above window

Tent is overall a little hot not this tubing causing so much heat

Plants update still looking healthy surprisingly maybe good seed genetics can take heat or something no leaves curling or anything or discoloration.

Any suggestions?

As you can see I took pics so you can have an ideas how close tent to my cabinet that had supplies which is next to the window

And from the first pics I posted the ducting coming out is different as well and changed it hoping to make it a little straighter

you could have pulled the fresh air in through the window. Also something that just came to mind. Are you running your lights 18/6? If so I would run your light at night, the cooler temps at night could really help control you heat problem. GLWTG

I thought a window ac to cool garage but decided to move to room open my windows lots of breeze. And yes I am 18/6 at night I'm doing from noon to 6 off when it's hottest
Today first day so want to see what temps will get like tonight just set It up less than an hour ago. My dark curtains also let me open the flaps and cool it most of day I don't have a problem with it open all day me and my bro can keep a close eye on them lol

My mate had the same prob, we drilled small holes in the ports and tent then used rivets, make cut from inside tent for the new port.

If you ambient low is 82 I assume you have ac already in your home? Run a designated line directly into your cab. If your dont hang at 82 in your home neither w your plants

My room is way cooler low gets to 79 in tent first night I set it up yesterday
Low in my room is 66 high is 88 so far but only for few hours then lowers I turned lights off from 11am to 5pm hot during those hours. Had another humidity monitor in my room so I have 2 and set one inside and outside room to record temps every 30 min starting from 8am so set lights to turn off during hottest times. Also have window open all day gets cool and able to leave my tent zipper open not afraid of bugs or light showing nice new dark curtains can't see shit outside. No ac either just cool breeze
