Hi there,

I'm new in growing indoors. So I need some advisement to make my grow room.

The room is 2.91 (9.55 feet) meter times 2.25 meter (7.38 feet) and is illustrated in the picture below. there is about 2.5 meter hight

I thought of growing only one sort, and I thought of White Widow, Raspberry Cough, PPP or Jack Herer.
But I'm not sure which one yet? And I don't know how many I've room for?

Next thing is the light, what kind of lamp do I need and how many?

I know that there are threads descriping all this, but after reading for 2 days I'm a bit confused, because it seems that everyone has their own opinion about what is best.

I think that was it.

If it has any interrest I'll upload some pictures when I get started and through the prosess :)

Thats a good sized room. I'd venture to say too big for a newbie.

Start off smaller. But keep the room size overall. Bigger the volume, the better the cooling.

Make 2 rooms. One for vegging and one for flowering. and *isolated* from each other. (air, temp and most importantly light)

Veg a few plants/seeds. Take cuttings. Once rooted, toss either the mother or the clones into flowering to know the sex. Toss the males (unless you want to make some seeds, never a bad thing)

Grow and repeat.

How to set up your rooms.
Floros are fine for seedlings/clones/vegging. (MH is better but depending on methods/styles of vegging may be overkill or needed)
Go for the big boy lights for the flowering.

Flowering room should be 2/3 of the total, vegging 1/3. (could do 3/4 1/4) Can go even tighter if shelves are used, but thats a few grows down the road to see what you need.

So just grow a couple and see how it goes.
Set up for the space you have. (aka: room for growth)

Thanks alot..

I think I've found a solution. It is easier to illustrate with a drawing:

The grow area is the flowering room. Since I can't use unlimited electricity because of where I live. I can use about 24kwh a day as a absolute maximum. With the two 400w Philips Agro HPS I've now used 9.6kwh (0.8kw x 12h) so I've 14.4 kwh left that I can use for a vegging room. But what light should I use? You're saying that MH is the best solution for the vegging room but how powerful should they be? :D

Any comments are welcome :)
