Need Help Setting Up Grow Tent

I am attempting to set up a 3 tent pound a month sea of green operation. I will be using a 4X2X5 Tent under either a 4 Foot 4 Tube T5 Fluorescent for vegging/clones/mother plants and two 4X4X7 Foot tents under 1 600w HPS Each for flowering any thoughts or ideas? I am on a $300 budget every two weeks for the next two months just to get everything i need, so about 800?

The first tent will cost me $65 and the light $85. I will order them both off of ebay. Also, I will look for a good deal on containers and soil, so if anybody has any good stores or deals let me know. I also have the option of purcasing a carbon filter exhaust fan, but don't know if I should to start off with or if that can wait, and the money can be used for something else now.

I will purchase the next tent set up as my op grows and matures into needing another tent, but can any and perferably everybody give me feedback on what I can do to optimize my output, I will start ordering the supplies in about a week or so.

It all looks pretty good to me. I veg using a 4 foot 4 tube t5 in a 4x2x5 tent also. Works fine for what I'm doing. A 600 should be plenty for a 4x4 tent so you should have your lighting covered there.

You will need fans. Either to cool your hoods, if you go that route, or to cool/exchange air through your tents. If you did it right and got a good/big enough fan you could pull vacuum through all three tents with the one fan.

Sticking to 1 or 2 strains will optimise.... Knowing your strain will pay off massively

I'm saying though, this isn't my first grow but it will be my first of something to this magnitude before. I know enough to clone and small things like that but really am in need of a tutor of sorts.

All here to hel. I would stick to one breed at a time.

Why not go for a bigger flower tent? If you move 2 babies in every 3 weeks you can pull a decent load off every 3 weeks!?!

Thinking easier to regulate one space in terms of heat etc

I want two different tents one for each strain although one of good sized 4X8X7 under a 1000w hps could hypothetically grow up to what 16 fully matured plants each growing numerous ounces correct? Each grouped in 4's rotated in and out every two weeks?

You mean 4 x 8 with 2 x 1000w?

That would work but depends on pot size and veg time.

Of you take them with only one week veg and keep me in 5 g pots you cost have 8 x4 pots but I would tend to go bigger and less. More like 9 x 3, or just 12 or 8 plants with longer veg times.

Seen that goes off my intentions I want a SoG, something small and set with no more then 3 months start to finish, well eventually. First I've got to get set up. If I make the smaller tent, lets Call it Tent A (4x2x5 under T5 6500K 4Ft 4Tube) for, my veg/clone room for the first month, and then move the first rotation of say 8-12 plants into tent B (4X4X7 under 600w) transplanting from 1 gallon pots into 5 gallon pots of soil. I then take another set or clones and wait a month and move them into tent C (Same set up as B). Starting more clones of course.

Now I have two grows in two different harvests each a month apart and clones vegging all at the same time. Giving my plants three months final grow time, one in veg and two in flower as well as more than enough space in between plants for bushiness. Give about 10in for the light height, 10in for the roots and 10 inches of space between the lights and the canopy, I should be able to let my plants grow to a height of about 4 feet.

If everything goes the way I want, is my theory of a pound a month realistic without having to LST or SCRoG?

Also I have decided to order PurpleBud and Master Kush Feminized to start with.

These are the things I'm seeing as a requirement to get started, minus a timer, a fan, soil, seeds, and a power trip. Anyone think that would make a good mother tent?

Seems big to me for a mother tent, but you can always switch it later to a flower tent and move your moms to a smaller tent. Looks like your good to go. Make sure you have nutes... Ph meter and ppm meter too

Take your early estimate of $800 and add 30 - 40%. Fans (both in lint and circulating), ducting, sockets, timers, NUTRIENTS, thermometer/hygrometers, Ph meter, PPM meter, timers, Home Depot for all the little odds and ends for things you don't foresee, gas for 10 trips to Home Depot for things you don't foresee, etc., etc., etc. Not trying to be a cynic, just sayin. Been there, done that...even with my A type personality and Excel Spreadsheet lists.

I also agree with the comments about running a single strain (maybe 2) and a single flower tent. Either with two 600W or a single 1000W on a light rail. Trying to find the 6 best mothers, then take the best clones, then take the best vegged clones would require A LOT more space than a 2 x 4 tent. Be careful hanging big hoods in cheap Ebay tents...don't wanna hear a mega CRASH in the middle of the night. You'll probably need to reinforce it.

Yeah I noticed that my smaller tent will run me about $400-$550 to get set up properly with co2 and fans and the like and my bigger tent will take about $500-$750 to get set up properly.

I do not see how this space is to big for a mother tent, but maybe I could throw in a shelving unit and use that for my clones in the mother tent, that way I could have a mother for at least two strains and anywhere from 12-30 clones vegging at once.

I wanna know the bare minimum I would need to set up a grow tent. Anything else can be purchased when and if it expands.

If this isn't your first grow you should know you're not going to do this with 300 bucks.
