need help....+reps

Hey peeps!

I need some help on picking the right extractor fan.

It is to suit a darkroom 60 running a 250W hid.

Would a 110m3/ph be ok do you people think? I want to keep it a quiet a possible and may use an intake fan too if out take not enough to cope.

Any help would be great!

Ok, a darkroom 60 is a grow tent, the size is 60cm x 60cm, hence, darkroom 60! Get the picture yet?
Height 140cm.

Fan, Do you honestly not know what m3/ph means?

Meter square is the anwser, so a 110 m3/ph clears 110 meters square per hour, get my drift?

So you have never heard of a darkroom and you do not know what m3/ph means, you are clearly not too clever in the growing world are you?

So now i have a tip for you,

Stop jumping the gun, anyone with half a brain would know exactly what i was on about, so you need to get half a brain, ok?

Lol, you didn't not get a rep simply because the bullshit you have spouted in my thread, have a read, learn a little, then try to anwser questions with your knowlodge gained, until then i'd just keep quiet. :wall:

Pretty harsh I guess, but what kind of fan are you using. I'm not a math whiz, and I'm not absolutely familiar with the metric system, but I'm gathering...

60*60*140 = 504000cm of volume or 5040m of volume right?

110 cubic meters = 1331000m of volume

Correct me if I'm wrong, I grow ganja not do math....

So....

take 1331000m / 60 minutes and you get 22183 meters per minute

If your room is 5040m and your fan can move 22183 meters per minute you have a fan that will replace the air in your room about 4x /minute?

I know that I could've left everything cubed but I just wanted to illustrate the math to it's basic form.

That fan should be more than good enough for that size space.

Like I said, not a math whiz so take it easy on me guys.

Size matters!! If u want to keep it real quiet, you will need a bigger motor that runs at lower rpm's and has a bigger intake /fan apparatus. Get a speed controller and adjust to your desired motor speed. Some of these motors at speed sound like a frickin jet taking off. RU using a filter with it?

Anyway, back to my issue I have now brought an 5"rvk infan and a speed controller.

The only peson to get a rep is laserburn, you don't get reps for posting in here,you get it by awnsering the question.

for that size tent i would go with a 250m3/ph.... or more.. i have a 350m3 for a 1 x 1 x 180 tent and a 400 watt lamp in it... and my temps is exactly at 28 when lights are on...

aim for bigger than what you could use cause who knows you may add a filter or cooltube one day and in that case youll need an extractor that can pull alot....

RVK's are the standard for growers here in europe;..... And they work Forever
