Need help posting pix

OK, I've looked around and most of the info on this topic was made completely obsolete by the site redo on 4-20.

I'm trying to get photos uploaded, so I can attach them to a journal entry. When I click on "Insert Image," I get the "Add an Image" interface. I hit the "Select Files" button and choose a picture that I resized and compressed down to 448 x 336 and 33.4 KB. From what I've read, the image is the right file type and under the size requirements, but for some reason, it won't upload. When I hit the "Upload Files" button, it thinks a second, doesn't upload the image and puts a "!" next to the file name.

Can someone set a noob straight on how to upload pix?:dunce:

We had a bug in the upload system should be fine now
 
I'm still having the same issue with photos not uploading and giving me the exclamation point next to the image name. Would it make a difference if when I hover over the images that it says they are "JPEG Images?" The file extension is still .jpg, so I'm not sure what the problem is.
