Hello RIU. I am kinda stressing out this morning because I forgot to turn my lights on at 7am. I actually didnt get to them until 9am :( Plant is on its 4th week of flowering and is doing awesome.

Just dont know what to do now. Should I start a new cycle of 12/12 and be it from 9am to 9pm? Thats the only thing I can think to do to make everything right. Also, can I expect troubles from the plant now? She seems fine, nice and perky this morning. Please help me out and let me know if I am doing the right things, and If I can expect consequences from my tardiness :joint:

I really appreciate any help. Thanks again RIU :hump:

Dont sweat it... It should not affect the plant

Go back to your regular schedule and get a timer :P

So I shouldnt stick to the new 9am to 9pm? Just stick with the 7am to 7pm? With the 7-7 schedule, they are only goning to get 10hours of light then. Is'nt that a bad thing when they have been on 12/12 for four weeks....I did have a timer....It shit the bed. I refuse to buy another when I can just use my alarm and get up and do it myself. However, human error is still an unpleasant reality. I just forgot to set alarm, and over sleep it. Sucks, but I have no option to purchase another time at the moment, so I am going to live with the human timer :)

Thanks for the help and advice, but if you could clarify that would be greatly appreciated :)

Unless you want to go from 9-9 then just go back to 7-7.

It will not affect the plants only gettin 10 hours one day.

Thanks for the help. I really do appreciate it. I was kinda freaking out over it, but it seems to be doing great. I think I am going to keep her on the 7-7 schedule. It works out better for me. :)

When you get a new timer, buy a good quality, heavy duty one. In the UK, we have devices called contactors, which are basically relays that are used to prevent blown/fused timers, by diverting the startup surge through the relay rather than the timer itself.

I very rarely see them mentioned on US sites, but if they are available to you, i recommend getting one. Blown timers are a thing of the past to me, although they seem very common to people on this site.

Thanks for the information and advice. I will eventually have the money to get a new heavy duty one. Certianly need one like you described. Its sad to see people put money out over and over again just to have timers shitting the bed like there are $2 a pop. I have yet to find a digital one under 20 bucks. Its disheartning to the newbie grower. With a market so saturated with this product or that product, one would think that they can make a timer with a damn. :) Once again, thanks for the advice :)

You dont need a digital, in fact one of the regular ones would be better. They do run around 16-20 at home depot but the ones where you just push in the switches on the dial is great for the lights. You only need digital if you are doing flood and drain or more advanced growing techniques.
