Need help planning simple low budget first indoor grow!

I am going to try my hand at my first grow starting in august. Will only have at tops $300 to set the whole thing up. Looking for a simple inexpensive setup that does not take up a lot of room. If any experianced growers can help me out that would be awesome!

I'm a beginner, right now and i'm learning as i go. Cheap tactic i've been running with. 23w = 100w CFL lights 3-4, socket adapters, multi outlet, indoor extension cord( not sure what its actually called), aluminum foil, potting mix. All which can be obtained at wal-mart and you can do here and there gathering as i have, getting creative ways to do a set up.

Powda welcome to RIU, it's a surge strip he is talking about. Get a plug to lightbulb adapter and then Y splitter so you can run two bulbs, get a couple so you can run 6 bulbs. I would use the 42W bulbs, watch the color spectrum, about $10 each at home depot and a timer. I would also consider a hempy bucket grow it's also very cheap and easy. GH Maxigrow and maxi bloom about $10 per bag each. Some say you don't have the ph water in a hempy bucket, I do. ph up and down about $10 each and the dropper test kit $8. You should be under $200 for this stuff, that will leave you with $100 over for other stuff like a thermometer and fan, maybe some rockwool to cut clones before you go to 12/12. $300 is a great amount to get a good CFL setup. ^ i agree with him. Try doing it in 2 rubbermaids stacked to conserve space.

thanks for the quick replies and advice. i am still quite clueless to as to the exact setup i want to use but i am trying to keep this as simple as possible since i am totally new to growing. i have 2 ideas as of right now a closet grow or using a large hollowed out dresser. the closet i am using is not very big exact measurements to come later but looks like it would be possible to put 2 rubbermaid tubs in there and there is a shelf above perfect for lighting and fans. im thinking 8-10 plants is my goal looking to get at least 6-8 ounces so that i have my personal stash and still have enough to make a return on my investment. if anyone has the patience to completely walk me through my first grow i am a quick learner and would feel comfortable doing it solo from then on out
