So i have a great laundry room in my apartment to flower in...of course im using the dryer exhaust for the exit for the air, but my problem is the entry for the air...There's a drain for the washer that's 1 1/2" or 2"...i put my hand above it and i can feel fresh air leakin in...i thought about taking a wet/dry vac and stick the suction tube in it and take off the motor from the vacuum container so air will blow into the room, but i thought that might be overkill...does anybody have any suggestions?

Your laundry room surely isn't sealed and you probably won't even need an intake , air will get through , just get a 4 inch inline fan or a can fan if you intend to run a carbon scrubber which I'm sure you'll wanna do living in an apartment building. the intake will be passive and the exhaust will create a vacuum that will suck fresh air into the room.Proper fan size is all about how many cfm the fan will move, you'll wanna exchange air several times per hour. figure up your cubic feet by measuring the room and doing the math then you'll know which fan to buy. I'm thinking a laundry room is pretty small and won't need more than a 160 cfm fan or so. I suggest a hydrofarm 4 inch can fan that moves like 165 cubic feet per minute, this does my room fine(7'x4'x7')with a carbon scrubber although I don't exhaust(I run co2).

I don't want a smell in my house, I do actually exhaust some, not by choice but I bought a single hose portable AC for my grow , not knowing that I should have bought a dual hose(I'm gonna convert the single hose to dual ) , some of the room air gets in the exhaust of the AC but since I'm recirculating a scrubber in the room no odor is there to get out unless conditions are just right( say the fan is blowing air into the AC before it gets scrubbed), keep in mind carbon has to be replaced too, I think mine is due for new charcoal after just one grow.
