Need help on my lighting

Alright, I need some help figuring out if im using enough light. I have 6 - 4 ft. Fluorescent tubes going. They have cool white lights in them now for vegetation and i plan on changing them soon to warm ones when i start flowering. Its just that they are about 5 weeks old and i still cant sex them. They are around a foot tall, if not bigger. Also, not all of them really have the (new-mini) branches coming out of the already existing nodes. Is this a sign of lack of enough lumens ?? Or, is this enough ?? One last thing, is there any little tips and secrets on ensuring female plants ??

the most assured way of telling sex is flowering them for abt 10 15 days to see clearly their sex

There are five plants but i have more lights if i need them. The growths at the node aren't stems its coming out of the new stems. The lights are about six inches from the top. The space is about 4 ft. by 9 ft but its two levels. Today i started the flowering so i can sex them, does it always take ten to fifteen days ?

for starters you can have fluro tubes almost touching the plants leafs
5 plants covered by 6 X 4feet fluro should be good for a while

at the botom of the thread you can either click post quick reply or go advanced, click on go advanced then go to manage atachments and select the file from your camera or comp. (800x800) is the max size in pixels you can upload so remember to resize big pics.
its ok tho, i was sceptical at first as well but i seen so many people doing it and i see it like this, if the cops where to bust someone on this site (knock on wood they never do) it would be someone who is goin large scale production
