Need Help ON First Grow Indoors

so lets say i wanted to grow sum skunk kush and wanted to use the hydroponics way how would i got about it??? or could i get just as good results if not better just doing it the old fashion way.

someone told me maybe i should lstd my plant and i saw where some guy said that when you make your plant go at a 90 degree so the lower branches can get more light how do you do this??

Well i been looking online and found this sweet as grow op from htg supply its the 400 watt with the tent with all the goods. There is also another option when you want to purchase you can obtain upgrades or get material that is not included. So for all the shit that i wanted to get it comes up to like 700 tats awesome. Well for me anyways i been doing my thing to save my money to obtain this. So i don't want to see people dissn me cus i want to spend 700 to get all this shit i want to be official and have a freakish sweet set up. Ya Dig.......... Also im going to use the skunk kush from sensi seeds im goin to get 5 and there all females. Im going to get everything started when I come back from vacation. Wish me luck succcaassss

I'm a 400 watter too. I'm just limited by space but with work and if you can mange to have a area for vegging on the side and keep the 400 for flower you'll do plenty fine for personal smoke.

I'd start with a simple soil grow. 4 plants under a 400 is nice. Get a good simple nute like Supernatural terra grow and bloom. It's super easy to use. If you can measure a teaspoon and a few gallons of water then you'll do great. You can get fancy and try all kinds of things but you'll only know if it's better or not if you do a basic soil grow first. Hydro will cost you some more money. A little more set up cost and you'll need to mess with your water chemistry more. pH and such plus have a meter or something to read your pH.. then there is TDS and if you want to read that or not.

Anyhow, I'm glad you're stoked about this also. It's a very empowering thing when you start to grow your own.

You don't need to grow "exotics" with hydroponics. The best ingredient you can put into a grow is tender love and care. That will ensure good yield.

hi lads, im also a noob and am about to begin growing my first own bud.

ive gathered information for a week now and here is a list of equipments im going to be using....after you folk's suggestions. Please feel free to tell me whats good/wrong with these equipments, or even how to get cheaper versions. Im going to plant 4 plants aiming around 80cm tall as room is an issue for me.

1. Dimmable lumatek digital ballast 600W ($263)
2. Sunmaster 400W and 600W Dual spectrum grow lamp - 55,000 and 90,000 lumens respectively ($63)
3. Euro budget reflector ($30)
4. pair of easy-roll adjusters ($12)
5. maxiswitch 2-way light controller (10A) - day/night ($63)
6. RUCK100A - acoustic ducting - 230m3/hr - good for 600watts of light ($191)
7. budget 5 filter use for 125mm ($70)
8. bud box 75cm x 75cm x 100cm ($124)

Total of $814 but with discount and finding some other cheaper prices on ebay i believe i can get it down to around $650

Is this a good setup though? i dont have the chance to talk to anyone about it so i rely fully on this forum but people tend not to reply my threads....

Also do i need another fan for inlet/exhaust?

And is the 2 way light controller really necessary?


What other equipments apart from nutrients and soil that i need?

no not you the original poster... I would get a good inline fan 6 inch.. bout 100 bucks.. also the light controller is not needed with 1 light.. you can get a standard timer from walmart.. bout 5 bucks. They are rated at 15 amps.. way over the 6 or so ur light draws...

checkin out 1st grow ops when your a noob too is good prep.. he does pretty well too.. but id also check out an experienced growers LST setup too

I have done plenty of research, alotaball so dont say i have not. I just like to get others perspectives, wats wrong with that? Anyways I thank everybody, I have been on vacation and had plenty of time to think everything over. And i am ready, im just going to do it the oldschool way my first grow and see how that works out. Then i maybe will try something with hydrophonics. So everybdy keep a eye open I will post in this forum again b4 i start a grow journal should be pretty sweet.

So I have been doing sum more research alotaball and found some intresting information. So here it is, I heard that white widow can be hard to grow for my first time wat your opinion on this. Second I was thinkn about jus goin frm 12-12 from seed with the white widow and northern lights and i know its possible but should I just do it the old fashion way for the first time?? And also thought about lst with my plants also, I know people do this for the bottom buds of the plant n also want a even canopy for better light on the whole plant. I just want to know everything and anything b4 I start this grow. Thanks

my first grow ever, i had 16 plants in 3 gallon grow bags under 2-4hunnys and yeiled 19 zips dry...400w can def produce some herb

im still on the fence about my grow. i am thinkn about 12/12 from seed or jus do them the old fashion way, but either way this will be my first grow and im in dramatic need of bud got to get shit rolling... wat to do wat to do!!!!!!!!!!!

would anybdy consider 12/12 from seed and if so wat would you say i could come out with by grams with a set-up for 6-4 plants all females

Huh.. my take would be that if you're going to do it, do it right and large. But, that's just me.. Never done 12/12 from seed so I couldn't tell you about yield but.. I wouldn't expect much.

Ok been in the works on everything. Now I have everything from my seeds to my equipment, now I am about to post a pic with everything so everybody can see. I would like for everybody to give me tips on how to set up the ventilation for my grow tent. pictures examples would be best. Can i just vent into the same room i plan on growing in????
