Need help on closet grow please

So I plan on growing 4 plants in my bedroom closet. The dimensions of the closet are 6' high 4.5' long 2' deep.

I'm confused on lighting.. I have came up with 2 lighting setups.. Please tell me which one will be better for my situation.

* Four 10" clamp lamps with a 65W (3900 lumen) CFL bulb in each
* Four smaller clamp lamps with two 40W (2720 lumen) CFL bulbs in each (using a Y-adapter in each) these smaller lamps will be placed in each corner of the closet underneath the big lamps.
TOTAL WATTS OF THIS SETUP: 444W
TOTAL LUMENS OF THIS SETUP: 37,360

OR

Should I just use eight clamp lamps total with two 40W bulbs in each?
That is 640 total watts and 43,520 total lumens.

By you adding all those bulbs you are increasing wattage not lumens.Your room will still be putting out the brightest lumens in your room which in your case would be 3900.
Just get a hps and you would have 50,000 lumens.

I have a small budget, I don't wanna spend over $400.
Also its in a closet and it will get way too hot. And I don't wanna buy ventilation and all that.

Otherwise I would love to go with mh/hps

150 hps is only 69 dollars a 250 is 119.One inline fan would be enough to cool the light.Do you know how many people use hids in closet?More than enough to show it can be done.

Not putting in ventilation and "all that" is a formula for failure. Ventilation and air flow are a must for any room. I've tested HPS, MH, T5 and CFL in enclosed spaces and all of them need exhaust.

Ok so where can I find cheap hps and mh lights? What kind of fixtures should I look for?

Should I hang the mh in my closet for veging then take it down and put up the hps for flowering? Do I need balasts? I don't understand anything about these kind of lights.
I'm not really looking for a SOG operation yet.. Just wana see how this first grow goes.

How high does do the hps and mh lamps have to be above the plants? Remember my closet is only barley 6' high

Sorry nvm blackberry browsers are not the best I see the hps.

Alright the 400W is perfect for me, I'm just wondering how necessary is the cool tube? And can someone tell me how to install the vent/fan system

Dude if you take a little bit of time to read you will find all the answers you need.Not trying to bust your balls but just google it yourself.There are so many youtube videos up about this im surprised you are asking this.
