I transplanted two Romulan Diesel clones into my DWC buckets on 3/15/14. These pics were taken today 3/17/14.

This ^ is plant #1...this one has the problem the worst.

This ^ is plant #2...this one only has the problem on one fan leaf, but its the same thing as plant #1.

I think it may be pH fluctuation (?) but I'm not sure. Below are the grow details:

1) Indoor 2x4 tent, 600w MH
2) DWC
3) Clones were rooted in coco, transplanted into 6" net pots surrounded by hydroton
4) Clones approximately 2-3 weeks when transplanted

looks to me like possibly a worm or caterpillar. kind of looks like leaf miner damage on the tips of the leaf in pic #3. GL

Ok well they definitely look overwatered and underfed. So that's a tricky predicament for such tiny plants. How often that drip ring goin? Giving them nutes now? Ppm?

The drip ring is going 24/7...it doesn't have sustained water pressure, the water is raised up to the ring by air bubbles and it just burps out half h2o/half o2. It's set-up exactly like a waterfarm if you are familiar.

As for nutes, right now they are in distilled water with a tiny bit of Pro-Tekt and Aquashield only, ppm @ ~100/ EC @ .14....I am doing a rez change tonight and will be dialing up to ~350ppm/.5 EC using DG foliage pro, DG Pro-Tekt, Aquashield, and DG Mag-Pro.

That's a good plan, I bet you'll see some improvement after bumping up the nutes.

if it was me I'd get that drip on a timer though. Hard to underwater in hydro, easy to overwater, IMO.

Good luck, keep us updated:)

So i did a rez change last night, bumped the ppm up to ~320 or .44EC, pH at 5.8 for both buckets. I also raised the light a few inches and dimmed it to 400w till the ladies acclimate. I was able to MacGyver the shit out of my drip rings, got them centered and working properly. The reason i don't have the drip on a timer is because that is how my solution is aerated at the moment. Water gains DO only through surface contact, so when the water is dripped over the hydroton, it becomes 99% surface water and dissolves in o2. I have two large airstones coming in today, one for each bucket so that will help with DO levels and get rid of the overwatering problem (which in DWC just means that there is not enough DO in the solution). After that I will probably only run the drip rings till roots hit the water level, then there will be no need.

Things are looking up! If you guys want to follow along, i have a journal going...check my signature.

Thanks for all the help!
