Need Help Identifying and Combating Indoor Plant Pests

Hello,

I'm looking for some advice on a persistent indoor pest problem affecting my plants, which I start from cloning indoors. Each year, I try to manage the infestations but can't seem to identify the root cause. I suspect I'm somehow reintroducing the pests.

I haven't noticed any fungus gnats this time, but I've had severe infestations in the past. This time, I see a lot of webbing and significant leaf damage, suggesting a different pest might be the culprit.

Once I transplant the plants outdoors, the infestations tend to subside after a few weeks. The stems change from dark reddish to green, and growth becomes vigorous. However, this requires a lot of effort performing treatments along the way.

In the past and currently, I've used Neem oil on the medium, leaves, and around the containers. With this latest infestation, I've also tried Entomite-M (Stratiolaelaps scimitus) and nematodes.

Symptoms include the plants struggling to drink or absorb nutrients, with the medium becoming very heavy and growth stunted.

I'd appreciate any insights from the community. What do you think the most likely pest in my tent is, and what have you found effective for dealing with such infestations?

I'll have some idea within a week if my first round of treatments improved things.

Thank you!

:-) Z
