NEED HELP. Fungus gnats and small white bugs

I posted a few weeks ago that I noticed these tiny white bugs. They do not in any way look like fungus gnat larvae. They really look like Hypoaspis miles. But I am seeing more fungus gnats. I have fly strips all over the place. I have 1200 ladybugs flying around incase the little white bugs were something bad but there is still lots of little white bugs coming out of the dirt when I move the dirt around. I also noticed, i saw a fungus gnat fly into the drain hole in the bottom of one of my pots, and I stuck my finger in trying to kill the bastard, and about 5 little white bugs came out.

I looked at the photos of fungus gnat life cycle, and the little white guys do not look anything like any lifecycle stage of the fungus gnat. So....IF those flys ARE infact fungus gnats, does that mean I WILL end up having those ugly ass larvae things in my soil? How to fix this problem, and what exactly is my problem, if anyone knows.
Thank you

Your probably watering to much for start because they appear in very humid conditions let your soil dry out and get some sand (not from a beach or lake) and put a 1 inch layer of it on top of the soil this should trap the larva down there and keep up with the sticky fly traps. The ladybugs will help greatly. I think the fungus gnats attack the part where the stock goes into the soil and that can't be to good. So just don't water and put sand on your soil and continue what you've got going. You should maybe wait a day or 2 after you notice your soil on the top is starting to dry out because roots grow when its dry in the soil.

I only water about every 3-4 days. The humidity in the room is at 30-31% constantly. I just purchased this azamax recommended by the hydrogro place. I was told to add 1.5 tbs to a gallon of water and water the plants with the azamax every 7 days 3 times. has anyone tried this azamax, and if so, how do you think it turned out?

The problem is these lil faukers are going in and out of the bottom holes also, so if I did the sand, what could i do for down there? I see the flies, try to kill them if i can, going in and out down there also. I have been letting my plants get almost too dry in between waterings, so I dont know why they still hang around. I really do not think the tiny white things are the gnat larvae, but I am pretty sure if I do not get the problem taken care of I will soon be seeing the larvae.

My roots organics soil came with hyposis mites, and fungus gnat larva. I got a grip on them after a few weeks. Other than the fact they're really annoying, they really don't cause much damage. I've also disconnected my carbon filter and let my inline fan suck them all out for a week or so.. lazy, but works...

I dont know if you can tell by the photos, but do these possibly look like they could be hypoaspis miles? I was told yes and no. I know they are NOT gnat larvae, so it would be nice to know if I have 2 problems, or 1 good thing and 1 problem. Thanks

Thanks a lot for the link. Ill keep that one near by, looks very informative and I like the pictures!!!
Thanks 303. I just knew they werent the larvae either, and I have looked under a mag glass and still cant 100% match them to any pics I have seen. Hoping the aza helps though. I have shallow bowls filled with cyder vinager near my plants, and so far all that has collected are my ladybugs.

the bright yellow whitefly traps work much better then the fly strips. the gnat larva should be in the soil, they eat at the roots. you can spray around the holes with some funcizidaly soap to expidite the killing process.

go to your local hydro shop or nursery and ask for green lacewings. they can eat up to 1000 bugs a day.safe for people and enviroment. they are sold in an unlimited shelf life box. they are ferocious predators to whiteflys and larvae , aphids, mites, mealybugs. they are also known as the aphid lion. they come as eggs and you only use 2-3 per sq ft. let me know if you try this and your results. im positive you will be very satisfied

also you can grow your own under warm conditions so youll never need to buy them again
