i'm a first time grower and i got a set up with a fluro 65 watt 6500lum and i got one plant in my pot i keep hearing mixed ideas that i cannot flower my plants with it then i look around i have seen people post that it does work i'm confused because i'm running on a very low budget and i want to grow so i don't spend all my money. should i look for a new light or should i just keep this one what will happen if i try to bud with this light will it grow or will it just do nothing or worse die? the plant is about a week old and to me it looks very healthy and green. as soon as i figure out how to get my phone to send pics right i will post one of the light and plant to show all thanks for any help you can give!!!

Yes. You can flower with a CFL. Plants prefer the "red" spectrum provided by HPS lighting, but a CFL will do the job. It's all about the photoperiod. Read up. :)
