give us some more specs about the grow, we can't really tell you much without knowing more about your methods, and your environment.

Thanx for trying to help tell me anything that you would like to know to help me and I will tell. What I really want to know is does he have a chance or is he fucked?

Ok, so here is the complete information on this plant. It is a OG Kush Clone. It is 3 - 4 weeks old in the vegetative state. I have a 150 watt light on it positioned at 23 inchs from the plant. The soil was some old soil I had. The pH of the soil is 6.5-6.8. The water I have been giving it has a pH of about 6.5-7.0. I have been feeding it the recommended amount of Grow Big and Plant Food with earthwormcastings and bat guano. This is also from Foxfarm. The plant is in a closet enclosed for light reflection that is about 8 foot tall and 2 foot by 2 foot. The plant is still on 18/6 lighting. The previous night before the lights went out I noticed that the big leaf that was originally there when I had purchased the clone had started to curl a little. Then this morning the plant is as you see it now. I went to a Hydro shop and the guy told me that the problem was probably my soil therefore I purchased a new batch of Foxfarms Ocean Forest organic mix soil and transplanted the plant to that after cleaning of the roots of the old soil. I also read on the internet the curling leaves could be a phosphate diffecency. Is this true? Well here is all the information I can think of any help at all will be greatly appreciated and I thank all. Have a nice day.

i take it you watered it when you transplanted..........

when did you transplant them?

I transplanted it about ten minutes ago. I did water it with and tested the water that I use and it's pH was 6.8. I also added an additive that the guy at the store gave me he said it was for transplanting these plants and it would help it to grow back something called Superthrive I was concerned about the use of this so it said one drop a gallon so I gave a little less.

yeah.... many growers on RIU use superthrive........ I personally don't know what it is or what it does, but it must be good. I think you will be ok...... i think the hydro store guy may have been right..... I'd let them chill for a while...... give the plant a while and check on it....

Well thank you for all the help. I just wanted to ask you a few things real quick. Do not cut off the curled leaves correct? Also I should not worry about the phosphate? You do not think that is something that is needed?

The pH of your soil HAS to be around 5.9 for the plant to absorb those nutrients. Get the pH of your soil down to 5.9. To do this, lower the pH of your water to balance the pH of your soil to equal 5.8-6.0. Here is the GrowFAQ article link and another article on how to lower your soil pH. I'm betting you have nutrient "deficiencies" but they are due to your pH not the absence of the nutrient itself.

I believe you have two problems:

First, the water and soil need to be acid. About 5.8 - 6.2 is preferred.
Second, you need to mist the clone leaves several times a day, until the plant has well developed root system.

Thanx for the help and the articles I am going to get the pH of the water down right now and water again soon. Thanx for the help. One question should I cut the curled leaves?

The soil must be fixed I know. I do mist the leaves every day with a nice spray of water and I clean them I was actually going to stop because I those thais was a bad thing but you telling me this makes me feel good. Thanx for the help. I am just praying that it doesnt die.

It won't die. If it made it to 3-4 weeks, the root structure should be pretty well developed. Now its just about micro-managing to get the most out of your plant. I wouldn't cut the leaves, its just more trauma.

When I changed the soil to the foxfarms organic I cleaned the roots also. The roots were approxiamiately 16 inches long and large. Thank you for the help. It is really appreciated. One question I read the articles and it did not seem to say how to change the pH of the water. How do you change the pH of the water to a lower level?

I have a book called "Marijuana Buds for Less, Grow 8ozs. of bud for less than $100" By SeeMoreBuds

This guy is actually a member here of RIU.org he goes by the name GardenKnowm. I think he is on vacation for the next couple of days so I'll defer to his book.

For example, if you have a starting soil pH of 5.1 the water pH needs to be 7.4. I'll make a chart:
Soil pH = Water pH
5.1 = 7.4
5.2 = 7.3
5.3 = 7.2
5.4 = 7.1
5.5 = 7.0
5.6 = 6.9
5.7 = 6.8
5.8 = 6.7
5.9 = 6.6
6.0 = 6.5
Etc, etc.

You said your soil is between 6.5-6.8 so that means your water pH, after anything you add(nutrients, molasses, etc.) need to be between 6.0-5.7 when you water. You can raise pH by adding baking soda to the water and you can lower pH by adding vinegar.

Buy SeeMoreBuds book. You can find it on the web or at Barnes and Noble. Its a wonderful guide and a day by day trip of pictures through the life of a plant from seed to harvest.

I cant thank you enough for the chart and the help. I dont think it is going to help I have basically lost faith the only two leaves that havent curled up dryed up and dyed are the two that are sprouting out of the top so I think he is dead. I got 6.0 pH water and feed it. Im hoping but I think it is useless and he is gone. Thanx to you and all who has given me help.

Not so fast. You still got 2 new leaves left. Just don't over water and see what happens.

your going to cook those plants with that tin foil. you need to use a flat white paint, or some white paper.

Today I changed soil because of the old soil being crap when i planted the rots back in the soil i didnt spread them apart throughout the soil. Is this bad? Should I dig and spread the rots throughtout for a better base??
