My seeds should be arriving in about a week (6 fem sharksbreath)

I just got a few simple questions before I begin.

The tubes going from the irrigation hub to the net pot, should they be touching or splashing onto the rockwool when I transplant them into the system?

When the roots extrude out of the net pot, people always say lower the water line 1 inch below the net pot. I was wondering if I should keep the water level just so the bottom of the root mass is submerged?

I have a 21 gal res for 2 plants and have 2x 12in airstones under each with a walmart air pump. Should this be sufficient or would I benefit SUBSTANTIALLY from new stones/pump?

If your using irrigation tube then yes you want them hitting the cubes so they get water, i think lowering the water helps develop more roots into the water, as far as air the more the marrier, the 2 outlet pumps from walmart are cheap(11-$12). 2 of those should work and one more would be great

I would go with a couple more air stones bubbles are your friend.lol make sure you tubes are toucing the cubes for at least the first couple weeks. Then you can adjust to were you need them most. Here are my 21 day old plants.

The two before me pretty much summed it up. Your airstones should be fine but the more bubbles the merrier. The drip is essentially guiding your roots to the main water supply and to get their your roots have to stretch, making them stronger so don't be afraid of not having the water more than an inch away. They'll get there soon enough. Just fill the res, shut your door and let it work.

You can do what you want but what I, and many other of us, did was just putting the seed in the rockwool, turning everything but the lights on and wait. Also adding 1/4 nutes to the res

10 days before first 4 leaves then lights on? You want your lights on as soon as the seedling breaks the surface, keep them from becoming stretchy little seedlings.:peace:

the seeds i got were called "heavy feeders" so I should add 1/4 nutes on day 1 and not week 1?

thanks everyone for the input.

If you plan on changing your res once a week then day 1 will be the start of week 1

they wont streched cause ther is no light for them to strech to. Thats how i kept mine short but fat. Unless you want tall plants with big gaps between branches.
Just trying to help you out bro

im probably just dumbly confused, what i meant to say was to start adding nutes 1/4 strength after 1 week. but you say to start 1/4 strength the very first day?

But thats a human not a plant. The first colas have enough nutes to help produce its first set of leaves then add your 1/4 nutes and the lights. Good look

I wouldn't start adding nutes untill the first "true" set of leaves....Not the round ones

The seed itself plus water has enough nutrients to get the plant to that point
