im new to the hydro thing im a soil grow but my girlfriend saw a buddies aeroponic set up and had to have a couple plants in hydro so i now have a 20 gal rubbermaid tub with two clones in 6 in pots i filled it up till the water in the res was 1/2 way up the basket i had to plant them a lil lower when i noticed they were not gettin wet they still look a lil wilted should i place the rockwool more into the water...the bottom of the rockwool is touching the water now

You should probably lower the water level and just drip some water onto the cube every now and then until the roots grow out the bottom. It shouldn't take to long but you don;t want the water touching the rockwool or it will be too wet.

us an 1/8-1/4 str nutes in the drip in comparison to the amount you have in the water otherwise when the roots hit the water they will shock a bit. Know what I am saying?

if you have 1 tbs to a gallon in your res use 1/8 or 1/4 tbs to a gallon in your drippings.

I dont use any nutes till I see the clones start to take. then I start them on 200ppm. get a PH and PPM meter. it is very important with hydro. PH should be between 5.2 - 5.8 .

Hydro pH range is between 5.5 to 6.5, with 5.8 to 6.0 being best.

Peace!!
