Need electrical help, please - re-wiring track lighting

Hey,

So I figured out how to wire up an extra PC fan to an adapter so that I can run it through a regular outlet. Works a charm.

Now my question is: Does anybody know how I would wire-up a bathroom track light unit (3 sockets) so that it could do the same; plug into a regular electrical outlet?

I hear there are some made for that purpose, but the one I have isn't, so I'll have to modify it.

Is it as simple as getting some cord, getting a plug and attaching it all?
Thanks a lot!

if there are 3 lights and you want them wired up to one outlet, lookup information on wiring a "parallel circuit." this allows full voltage to go to each light. wiring in series (series circuit) puts all 3 lights wired in one line. a parallel circuit splits the amperage, not the voltage which allows all 3 lights to be at full brightness.
