I need some help determining how many autos I can grow and get a good yield. I have 2 1000w hid/ hps lights I'm going to be running in a spare bedroom. I have a 10 ft by 7 ft area I'm wanting to fill up with autos. I'm thinking about using 3 gal grow bags to let the plants grow to their potential. I going to be running ww autos
Ps soil grow

Go with five gln bags. At least when I did it with fiber pots their was a big diff on yield when I went from 3 to five growing in soil. You won’t be disappointed going up in pot size. If was doing in coco I would say 3 gln

Why auto over photo? Just wondering. That's enough light to do some serious growing. What do you consider a "good yield"? The plants are going to want space and light penetration so this will be a factor. The variety of auto you grow will dictate size so depends. If you have a spare room to work with you can probably grow whatever you want.
Photos can out produce autos in the same space but if timing is a factor auto may be the way to go. Depending on genetics of course. The photos will be more potent and have potential for higher yield and may produce just as quickly as autos as well just to point that out.
Also unstable genetics may be something to consider, i.e. smaller plants and bigger plants in the same run of the same strain.
