Hello all, I don't think I've ever posted her but I'm usually around looking at others posts.
2x4x5 tent
6 inch Inline in tent
4 inch carbon filter in tent
4 inch inline for intake outside of tent
400 watt HPS on reflector hood (not cooled)
Here is my issue: I have a 6 inch fan in the tent. From left to right, it goes carb filter, fan, ducting out of the tent. Because this was not enough to cool the tent, I took ducting, Jerry rigged it around my a.c. window unit next to tent and have that going ducting from ac>4 inch inline> ducting into the tent blowing under the light. While this made my thermometer read about 73 to 75 for a day, all of a sudden, temp jumped about 15-20 degrees over night. All I did was move the ducting more under the light. I don't know if it's a crazy coincidence and it changed the temp that much but I'm not buying it. The intake ducting is still blowing out 64 degree air into the tent.
Now, I have the thermometer right on the pot with the hps right on it so I'm not sure if it's giving me a bad reading. What confuses me is that is how I've had it this whole time so it either crapped to bed or the reading is correct. I am at work and posting this from mobile so I can't upload photos yet but I will in a few hours of my setup.
Controlling temps really makes you want to give up. I can see how why so many people have issues. It's all about the hear coming off of the light.
Thank you all for any advice or help you can give!
Edit: temp outside of tent is in the 60s from the ac
