Need advice on outdoor drying? Im a newbie

So when I harvest what exactly do I do drying curing wise? I have no place to dry them indoors, so I was wondering could you hang them from a tree? What are some alternative options?

Eh, I'd try to do it indoors. By the time your potential plants finish in the fall, hanging them to dry outside might cause mold. Not gonna lie, drying weed is a smelly process, but in my experience the smell starts to die down after 2 or 3 days. The first day or two is the worst.

Hanging outdoors is not a good idea, as stated mold, and the chance of rain, or animals, or humans, and light degrades THC. Is there no place to find, maybe an abandoned building. Or build yourself a little shelter out of 1 x 2s and some plastic. Good Luck

Try to use a shed or some other building to dry the crop in. If the area tends to be dry or have low humidity in the late season, you might get away with it, but your quality will be degraded.... if you are growing outdoor schwag, then just cut the weed and lay the plants out on tarps to dry under shade trees.

A member here, cutman I think it was, he's in Texas and he hung dry his stuff in a tree last year.
He calls it his drying tree. I think he had as many as 15 plants hanging at one time.

Buy a large rubbermaid tote...
Hang string inside of tote to hang buds
Install 1 or 2 computer fans in the side, blowing out.
Attach fans to a car battery.
Make a passive air intake (just cut a small hole near the bottom)
Stash the whole unit somewhere out of sight/out of smell.

Something like this (sorry drew it kinda quick)

If you want you can camo it up and install a cheap $30 solar panel to last however long you want. You can also do this inside, just add a carbon filter or vent it into a smaller area with an ozone generator. Hope this helps!
