need advice, guidance

hi guys im busy with my first semi stealth grow.was wondering how long do u need to veg

for?
im sure it all has to do with the amount of space one has.what would the norm be?
this is were i am atm they 13 and 19 days old any advice would be gr8

Depends on the size of your box. Expect the plants to double or triple in size when you switch them to flowering.

Gauge your veg time by how much room you'd have after they stretch.

As a first timer, I vegged for 4 weeks and got 2 oz dry per plant. That was under a 1k hps. Each plant was about 2/3 ft and was a little bigger round than their 5 gallon buckets. This, with no experience and crappy nutes.

plant will almost double in size during puberty.

at your rate, you should probably veg for 4 weeks or so.

just make sure you have room for the "stretch" (when a plant can double, some even triple in size) and you will be fine

if you train and tie down the branches you could get more use out of your grow space. veg for as long as you like

U should start a journal. Its a great way to get help or to get answers when things go whacky....plus I like looking at pictures.

Bmeat, Quit giving advanced grow advice. Your plants look like shit, and your mouth is full of shit. My advice to the OP, dont listen to Bmeat.

not all plants will double or triple in size im flowering one now that only grew 3 inches in the stretch im now at 4 weeks flowering

If everything is healthy, your plants could streach after they have been put into 12/12 after veggin' for 4-6 weeks... Strain dependant...
Sativa's will streach moore... than Indica's...
If I put a very healthy 16" plant [hybred] at 4-8 weeks, into 12/12 from 18/6... it will usually streach to 20-22", generally I figure 33% growth after light switch.
Strain, and light/soil/hydro dependant....

I grow a little different than most, [limited space], I like two foot plants, many of them, in my grow space.... I also like fresh pot, and I am hands on...
So, weekly/every other week, I clone at least 4-8 plants... clones from clones, or from mother.... clones I am cloning from, are 5-8 weeks old, and cutting has at least two equal sets of nodes...
Then, I take four plants from 18/6 that are 12-18" tall, and put them into Bud room for 8 weeks of 12/12
Every week, I take out four small plants, dry, cure....
Then I smoke w/gf four plants weekly...
Next week I start over...

What strains are u running? How many at a time? Is your goal a lot of smoke from few plants or a lot of plants. I've been growing for about 5 years and have experimented with most growing styles. I prefer to finish at about 3.5-4 feet tall. I bud out in 10 gallon grow bags, a five gallon bucket would be about the same except they are deeper which will tell your plant to grow taller. I top and lollipop and usually come out with about 4 1 ounce colas plus a bunch of little buds and yield about 6 oz per plant dried and trimmed. If your space limited like I was in the beginning I would suggest raising those seed babies into mothers and cutting clones. Root your clones out, take the single top off after two weeks of veg( it doesn't matter how small or big it is your not keeping it), and trigger to bud. When I did this I got about 2-3 dry oz per plant on my indicas and about 1 1/2-2 on my sativas. You can normally fit about 7/ meter squared and have no crowding issues. If you do not have adequate air flow you WILL get powder mildew in your bud room.

tks for the info guys. im not sure what kind of strains they are if i post a few pics is it possible to tell what they are? the two plants with fat leafs i think the guy said the some kind of cheese im not sure and the thin blade one is from the locals in the transkie.
