Wassup RIU,

Just looking for some advice here. Thinking about pulling the trigger on DE HPS lights.

The space is 12L' x 12W' x 6H'. Co2, sealed, ROLS soil organic, climate controlled and designated flowering room. 8000 watts total lighting.

One of my concerns is that these lights are used in big warehouse grows and are hung 8+ feet high.. I'm only working with a 6 foot distance between the light and the plants.. From what I've researched the UMOL at Super Mode is 900 umol @ 2 feet canopy in the center and outwards to about 400 umol about 2 feet out. What I come to understand is that cannabis can handle upwards to 2000 umols(the sun). If I were to space each light 4 feet away from each other. It'll overlap and will still put me underneath the saturation point. So over-saturation of having excess amount of light doesn't seem like it'll be the problem. The heat would be controlled at a stable 83* F during lights on. Humidity at 50-55% and lowered towards the last 2 weeks. Co2 @ 1500 ppm. Usually I run my co2 @ 1200 but I assumed with the upgrade of lights and having more co2 will help. The canopy will have a lot of air movement provided by oscillating fans to keep it cooler. The plants will be veg'd until about 1 - 1 1/2 foot giving it about another 1 1/2 - 2 foot of headroom to grow through flower. Plant finishing @ around 3-3.5 foot in height. Giving my DE's about 2-2.5 foot spacing between the light and the canopy. Also the penetration seems to be much much better. Single ended lamps penetration is what.. 12 - 18 inches? With the DE lamp I feel like it'll be a noticeable improvement on the popcorn buds at the bottom.

How does it sound? Any tips? Overkill? Should I just stick to my single ended lamps?

Here is my reference for the double ended fixture par output.

I successfully grow with De 1000watt Hps with 2.5m to the ground of ceiling height I hang them high as they can go and let the plant grow to the light never had a problem no sighn of bleaching or heat stress
