Hey everyone. I just want to get a second opinion. I have never grown OG Kush before, Got these cuttings from a friend. Take a look at the pictures and let me know what you think is going on. (Those spots you see are actually black. They are not the rust color, they are more of a black color)

And here is a look at the whole plant. It looks really good, its just those 3 leafs.

37 views and not one person replies?

Well I woke up this morning, went to check on my girls and it has spread. Now its on about 5 leafs. Thought I would have enough time to pinpoint the issue and diagnose it but the way its spreading I might not have time to mess around. I need to get this figured out and resolved. I really need your opinions and thoughts on this. Even experienced growers need help sometimes. So don't be bashful, post your thoughts.

what kind of soil are you using?
A organic mix, Nothing special. (I got these cuttings from a buddy, So it was his soil) I need to get some fox farm, I was out of that, or I would have used my own soil. Funny that you mention that because it was just transplanted into a bigger pot. I wonder if it has something to do with the soil.

Checked your ph levels?
Yeah PH is at 6.4 Its good

at first glance that looks like mag dif, epsoome salts will fix that i think
That's what I thought. That there was a mag def. I didn't want to just assume that it was a mag deficiency. Also thought it could of been a phosphorus Def because of the black looking spot. Then I was thinking a possible toxicity. Thanks for helping me narrow it down. I am still not 100% positive its a Mag Def, but Im glad to see someone else thought that. I will add some Epsom salt and see how it goes.

Thanks guys for replying

Oh I should also point out, that I have 2 OG Kush plants, and its only 1 that is displaying these symptoms. The other one is fine, Can't see one problem at this time.

so i just read the whole thread and decided to delete what I had written before I posted, lol.

i read that you had just repotted the thing. Have you checked to see if the soil at the bottom is damp? A lot of times when I up pot a plant I overwater and I have to leave it for a bit, just a thought.

The Og's are viney and loose a lot of fan leaves, a lot of strains seem to do this that have the viney structure, but this is normally in flower. I noticed the fan leaf below wasn't at a bud site, is that the same with the other leaves that are going?

I would check moisture at the bottom of the pot if you haven't done anything different apart from change pot, if sodden then stop watering, or even remove and downsize on the pot (I had to do this with a dying Jade plant this year.) Your new growth looks fine which is the main thing I guess, let us know how it is tomorrow and if it has spread even more.

Perhaps it is a deficency like Mr West said.

good luck and will check in.

Thanks for your reply. Its only that one leaf in that picture that doesn't have a bud site because of topping. The other leafs are coming from a node with a budsite. When I transplanted them I watered them thoroughly.

The person I got the cuttings from compacted the dirt so when I transplanted it was very hard to get out. (So it could be stressed out too) I told him not to do this any longer with his plants. So now that they are planted in a bigger pot the outside dries up first, and the middle stays wett because of the poor drainage. I have no idea why he would pack down the dirt.

This is exactly why I hate getting cuttings or plants from other people, but I just couldn't turn down some OG cuttings.

+Rep to everyone who had tried to help

Hey guys, This is really happening fast. Just this morning you could see it just starting on some of the smaller leafs. And now most of the leafs have the black looking spots on them. I never seen stuff spread this fast before. Or happen so fast. I just added some Epsom salt, so hopefully that works.

Here are the new pics I just took. The first 3 are of the leafs that just started showing problems this morning (Look how much it has progressed in the short time)
The last picture is of the first leaf that showed symptoms about 2 days ago.

are you feeding it anything? if so what are you using. kinda looks to me like its hungry
Yeah, At this point its getting FoxFarm Grow Big, Actually about to start to transition to flowering nutes. I also gave it some superthrive when I transplanted it.

Earlier today I gave it some Epsom salt. 1Tbs per gallon of water. I been growing for some years now, so I know to feed my plants. However the Mag could of been getting locked out and it could be hungry for some. And Im guessing when you say They look hungry you are talking about its hungry for Mag.

If I was to take a picture of the whole plant, its looks beautiful. So its not like they have not been fed and are deficient in everything. Also remember I have 2 of the same plants. Feed them the same, and its only 1 that is doing it.

I can take pictures of both the girls if you would like.

i wasnt doubting you my friend. You hadnt mentioned what if any nutes. Just making sure. It definately is a mag def in my opinion but with your ph at 6.4? ph is perfect and its getting plenty of N with the grow big.

Can anyone tell me if the OG kush normally has purple stems? Reason why I ask this is I thought it could of been a phosphorus Deficiency earlier, and it just hit me that the stems were purple. So I am again wondering if its Mag Or Phosphorus.

If anyone has grown OG before and knows if the stems are usually purple please let me know.
