Need 15 ounces in 1 grow..how..whats needed, advice please

Hello good people..

I want to grow 15 oz, (basically a years supply in 1 grow). soil grow.

Which lights?

How many plants would that require?

I want the highest grade possible, so which lights nutrients etc will give me the best results?

I have grown once before and my yield was small due to weak lighting but the quality was good

Im thinking of growing 3 - 4 different strains for variety. Lemon Haze, and white widow (as I have seeds left over from my first grow) cheese, and maybe 1 other strain.

Any advice / feedback would be apprecited.

Cheers :)

yeah man i agree with Racer, 1 lb on one groi would do some hardcore vegging indoors and then put them bitches 2ach in a 20g tote and let them fourish under the sun all summer.

alternativly you can really easily get 15oz in one grow but your looking at spending some money.

lets say you want 16 oz and 4 plants (divides better than 15) thats 4 Oz per plant which is reasonable for indoor grow. heres what i would do.

get yourself a 4x4 tent and a 1000w HID kit.
4 20 gal rubbermaid totes
some PVC and some string
soil, nutes and a fan
and your beans.

with this method your gonna veg for 2-3 months so be ready for a 5 month grow at least.

read all you can bout ScROGing and LST training and grow them 4 plants in them 20 gal totes and super scrog the fuck out of them, veg untill each hole in each screen is able to be filled....then flower em out.

my 2p worth...........im on my 6th Grow and average around 2Oz per plant without doing anything special- small 1.2Mx1.2Mx2M tent 600w HPS anda couple of small cfls Advanced Nutes and Plagron Soil all in easy2grow pots/trays and tank. 8 plants 1 grow = 16 Oz give or take.....get the enviroment right and as im now finding less plants can give you same yield im getting 2 to 2,5 per plant so currnet grow is 6 plants and aiming for 15 Oz slightly less green but more manageable and less cost (seeds/Soil/Nute usage).....im not doing it cos of cost Just fine tuning the enviroment and get more from my set up......

ps if u have small veg setup then you can cut timing down and turn a grow out every 2 to 2.5 month

You definitely need a 1000 watt light set up. Since this is only your second grow and you don't have things dialed in, a 1000 watt will produce at least a lb. Depending on how many plants you'll have will determine your veg time. I achieve around 20-24 oz under a 1000 watt with 6 plants that vegged for around 4 weeks. You dont need all the fancy nutrients. I just use GH's whole line up, its pretty cheap. I only use 5gal buckets also. Start the seeds in 16 oz party cups, then I transplant into 1 gal bags then into 5 gal.

i get 16-18 oz of smokable bud consistently in a 4x4 tent with 1 600 watt aircooled light and 9 plants.gets a bit crowded, but managable.
i veg for around 5-6 weeks, all grown in soil.plagron light mix and hesi nutrients.
i am now trying bio bizz nutrients and plagron batmix mixed with alphamix,we'll see how that goes.oh and im also going to be using bio bloombastic.

Like has already been said, if you know what your doing you can get a lb off a 600, but if you don't then opt for the 1000. Veg 8-12 plants for about a month or so and flip em to 12/12. As long as you pay attention to them and don't kill you should walk away with at least a lb.

i like seeing all these people talk about the 1000w setups and yielding lb or more, gives me some good hope from my first real grow with a HPS/MH setup as things are going smoothly and got exactly 4 weeks of flowering left =) cheers and GL to all

Plenty of light and good growing conditions obviously. You should look at doing a heavy yielding strain like big bud or critical mass. I'm looking at doing this stain next. Grown properly with some training will easily achieve a yeild of 15 oz. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=105379&page=2
I've done a few runs with big bud. Outdoors you can let her rip. Indoors as long as you don't have height restrictions your all set. Those ladies love to go vertical. Have had a few go 8ft plus on me. I personally think the quality of big bud is about a 5 at best. Look into northern lights. I've had some great yields and find the quality quite good! Average yield for me is between 4-6 zips per plant.

Get a 4x4 tent with a magnum xxl hood with your 1000w. Start 9 beans in one gallon pots and transplant into 7 gallon smart pots. Train your plants using the main lining technique. You can find how to do that in the organics forum someplace. He got 6.8oz per plant with 8 tops. Multiply that by 9 plants, that puts you well over what your looking for.
