If we do not learn from our mistakes we are destined for them to happen over and over. FWIW, Clinton should have stopped the Taliban rather than offer them recognition in return for an oil pipeline. Those fuckers hd to go, no doubt. Dubya could have bombed the AQ camps before they had time to escape. And Iraq just didn't need to happen at all.
But we can go on waving our flags, supporting wars that kill innocent people on both sides, breed more hatred of us, and claim it is jealousy or hatred of our culture, all while feeling we support our troops. Or we can be objective, think about what we are doing and what it might lead to in a decade or two, and maybe just maybe we'll learn we are all humans and start using our money and might to help life domestically and abroad. Being informed, skeptical, and rational ain't an ivory tower, it's someone who wants a better, safer world for his kids.
But the great thing is that we can disagree on things without it causing violence, something the neocons, war mongers, and military industrial complex don't seem to get. Wrong is wrong and just because the good ole US of A does it does not make it right.
