Napa23's first real grow- Blue Mystic autoflower

Hey everyone, this is my second grow. My last grow was cut short because I had to move and couldn't bring my plants. I ordered the B.M. autoflower seeds from Nirvana. I was really pleased with their service and prices so if you're in the seed hunt, check them out. I also got some soiltabs from them too. I've heard nothing but good things about them so I decided to experiment with it.The soiltabs are supposed to stablize PH with Humic Acid. They also have fish emulsion and a bunch of other good stuff.

Now for the specifics
Soil: Sunshine Mix organic
Water: Spring water for now, tap later.
Nutes: Soiltabs and FF Big Bloom
Container: Solo Cup/3 Gallon bucket

Now to get you up to date. These plants are 5 days old now, and these pictures were taken today. I used the soak and paper towel method. Set them in a shot glass outside and the seed cracked in well under 24 hours. It was then put in a moist paper towel and set on top of my cable box for warmth. When the root was about 3 inches long I put it into a solo cup filled with soil. it sprouted in just over 2 days and I put a little baggie over it to raise the humidity. The temps stay from 74-83, the humidity from 44-54 without the baggie. The baggie came off today. Right now I only have 1 32W 6500K Daylight CFL. Got a fan for circulation. This lady is a short one. What do you all think for 5 days? :blsmoke:

Hey Chief, glad to see you stopped by. Yeah I just raised the lights to take the pictures. The lights are normally 2-3 inches away, and it's staying pretty short. I put the baggie over it again, it seems to still want high humidity. I have a question about foliar feeding. How does that work? Does it still have the ability to burn the leaves? I got the FF big bloom, grow big, and tiger bloom and the labels sa they can be used as foliar feeding. Any tips on that would be great :)

Hmmm how long... I'd wait till at least the 3rd node has started branching out. That will almost guarentee better root establishment for the transplant. You have good soil, and a fan to "exercise" her. And from the High Water mark on the dixie cup you've doused her pretty good with water.

I've only read about foliar feeding. And what I read only talked about it during the flowering stage. But I wasnt all that intrested so most of what I read is a hazy memory. I kept seeing "Fertilizer burn" and decided that was definately not for me.

Hope you get to harvest this time!

Hey, ID thanks for checking out the grow. Thanks for the tips and good wishes too :). That water mark on the cup was before I put the seed in. I watered the soil to make sure it was moist for the seed. If I filled it with water that high I don't think the plant would still be there haha.

You can transplant your baby whenever you feel like it just as long as your using the same soil nothing bad should happen. But make sure to transplant when the soil is dry. that bucket looks like it's going to be a some good new shoes for her. I would get a few more bulbs for her to. 1 on each side would be dope. good luck.

Thanks r2thizzle, I've kinda been worrying about the transplant. I hear auto's are easy to stress and hermie. But i guess it wouldn't be a total loss. Can hermies self pollinate? Cause then i could get more feminized seeds right? if not I have 4 more seeds to use. There will definitely be more lights. I wldn't get any bud with just 1

Than wait till the false (those non-weed looking leaves) leaves turn yellow. I read on a thread that when that happens it means it has good roots. but that fact was directed toward feeding nutes to not burn your baby in it's early days. So both could apply.

Looks good for a start. if you want to use just one bulb switch to a 2700k 42 watt 150 watt equivalent bulb. You seen how my girls look, using just one. keep it close and cool , it will not let you down.

Napa23, I'm just familiar with foliage feeding when cloning. Remember your babies are auto's so they are going to be small and 5 days from seed, they look great!

Yeah man no kidding. I was REALLY surprised when i saw you only had one. Do you think you'll add more when you start flowering?

absolutely. I am going to add 3 x 26 watt 100 watt equivalents and continue using the 150 watt bulb for a total of 450 watts. Since I have had such success with just one bulb for veg I am going to keep using it and just up the wattage when it comes time to flower.

haha ok,ok I think they're developing well. Although, the cotyledons are starting to turn color. i know they're supposed to die but idk if it should look like that and this early. What do you guys think. This is at 7 days. What do you all think?
The cotyldons are fine. But there is a blue/purple tint in the new foliage coming out, must be the genetics

Yeah, they all come out like that at first until they get a good amount of light. It freaked me out with the first set of leaves. Even the cotyledons had some purple, i was like what the heck they're dying already. but i'll see how it develops. As long as it keeps growing I'm all good for now.
