Nanners. What to do?

I’m at the beginning of 9 weeks in flower and definitely have a couple of nanners (that I’ve found). This is only my second grow so I’m not sure what to do here. A lot of posts say chop now but I feel like another week or so would do me good. Can I ride it out or do I chop now and enjoy what’s here? There are no light leaks, humidity at night has been in mid 60s for a week or so due to weather, and I double checked the timer to make sure that it wasn’t coming on at night…not sure what happened lol ‍♂. What are your suggestions? Thank you. IMG_7766.jpegIMG_7764.jpegIMG_7765.jpegIMG_7767.jpegIMG_7763.jpegIMG_7771.jpegIMG_7770.jpeg

At this point I would chop before seeds started to form. If that happens.. the energy needed for the flowers will be redirected to seed production. You don’t really want that. Even if you wanted the seeds.. it takes a while for them to mature. Not worth it.

Cannabis has a survival mechanism of asexual reproduction toward the very end of flower most cannabis will attempt to fertilize itself if not fertilized by a male. So when you see those nanners at the end of it's bloom cycle it's a tell it's ready to come down. I'd take it now but waiting a week shouldn't hurt. One way to know is take some now and save a few colas to wait for a week to check what would have happened if you waited. It takes seeds about 6 weeks to fully mature but 4 weeks you can see viable seed has been my experience but I'd likely take most of her now.

I’d just pick ‘em out with some tweezers.
Those couple of bananas shouldn’t hurt.
Take your plants out and look them all over.
If all you find is little sacks like that first photo then not much to worry about.
Late herm like you have is the easiest to deal with.
Early herm at week 3 is a horror show.

I’d say take ‘em to finish if you don’t find heaps of bananas.

Personal experience : a few seeds won’t ruin your whole crop, but pulling it early sure will. I like to sing the “come mr tally mon tally me banana” song when I have to do it - it lessens the sting. I only chop banana plants if they start throwing them early in flower (meaning the whole plant will be seeded) or if there are several other plants in early flower that can get super-seeded from it. My weed is personal/medical so I only want the best smoke possible. Other people may want nicer bag appeal, so they may advise to chop now to avoid any possible immature seeds.

Thank you all for giving your advice/experience. This truly helps me to make better educated decisions. Can someone give an idea of how long before I’m good and in the harvest range?

Right now I’m thinking try to pull the bananas and rechecking the plant for finishing closer to next weekend as I’m going out of town and decide from there. If I’m only looking to lose a small amount of yield vs peace of mind while still harvesting a harvest-ready plant, I’m ok with that too.

If you can wait 7-10 days it will make a huge difference.

Get out the tweezers and a cup of water and pluck everyone you can find. Dunking into water after each pluck. It’s worked for me and no seeds in the flower. This only really works at the end of flowering.
