Hello all, I'd like to kinda make my introduction here since this is the first time I've ever posted here. My wife has been a medical marijuana patient for two years after an unfortunate accident. I haven't smoked since '06, but really enjoy growing it for her as it saves us money. I've had a couple of successful grows over the past years, and before I start with the new, I'd like to show a little bit of the old.

Last grow: December '09 to March '10
Strain: Superbud
Lights: CFL's, the sun, and a 400w HPS
Medium: soil Miracle Grow (I know now that it was a mistake as she said it gave it a weird aftertaste)
Ok,so I started 3 SuperBud clones taken off of a buddies plant and put them under CFL's. One died due to rouge cat. After about a month I started flowering them.
Here's the earliest pictures I have.

I had one in a "clone cabinet" I made (Left) by mylaring the inside and putting a couple of light bulb fixtures in.
It was running 4 43watters I could only leave one in the box as they got too big to be in there at the same time. I eventually moved them both to a spare bathroom that was thoroughly cleaned and never used. All I had was the CFL setup I have pictured above (right) so everyday I would set them in the sun.

They were doing good with the back and forth, and my buddy had a 400w setup he let me use for the remainder of flowering.

Really good,
P012510001.jpgP012510003.jpgP012110002.jpgP012510002.jpg
and I ended up with some good smoke for her.

So we harvested, (sorry no pictures) moved to another city, and after a month of settling in, decided it was time to start up again. Which brings us to about the end of march.

Current grow: End of March to today
Strain: Headband and a mystery seed
Lights: CFL's and a 600w HPS
Medium: Mystery Seed: soil: Fox Farm's Ocean Forrest
Headband: Deep Water Culture
Nutrients: Technaflora's line (came up on a starter kit for free)
Another friend gave me two Headband clones that were in some serious need of some TLC. I could only bring one back to life. Which happened to be the one on the right.

After about a week or two, I transplanted it,
P040110001.jpgP040110002.jpg
It did good. So I got a wild hair up my a** and decided it should go hydro. I washed
P041210001.jpgP041310002.jpg
the dirt out of the roots and transplanted it to the bubble bucket. I also got the Mystery Seed started. I decided to keep the MS in soil as I had never done hydro before.
P041210003.jpgP042210004.jpgP042210006.jpgP042210005.jpg
They grew good for about a month, and it was time to start flowering.

I got an awesome deal on a 600w HPS system, and the Headband just took off.
P051110002.jpg
Which brings us up to about last week, three weeks into flowering.

So I've been having a big problem with the Headband. It wilted after a nutrient change. I decided it was probably a good idea to add another airstone, and when I came home 4 hours later I came home to this last night.

but the good news is the MS is doing great!

Any suggestions on whats going on with this Headband?

The Headband died on me. But the Mystery seed is still going strong. I also got 2 Headband clones starting to flower. Pictures to come...

Wow, it's been too long. So much to catch up on.

First off, 3 problems with the Headband/MS grow.
1. The headband was way too close to the light, and way too hot.
2. Not enough air flow!
3. The plant was drinking a lot of water and instead of adding water, I added nutrient solution, which proly put it over the ppm s

The Mystery seed ended up finishing good, but as with any bag seed, the finished product sucked.

The Headband clones are in the back left of the last pic. They Were good to go (in soil) but the room was getting too hot as summer set in, so out they went.

These were the only pictures I got of them flowering, sadly only a month in. The finished herb was superb though considering they started flowering inside and finished mid August.

So now back to mid July. I was bombarded with nutrients, clones, and a switchable 400w system by several close friends. I got these two beauties

a Casey Jones and a Durban Poison. I ended up having to set up a quick grow area in a spare room and bought a MH bulb for the 400w ballast. These girls grew so fast! I tried to slow them down my transplanting them on their sides. It worked, for a bit.

I ended up taking clones and doing some trades.

I kicked the plants on their sides outside and had these inside.

So now I have Kasey Jones (inside and out), Durban Poison (inside and out), Hindu Kush, A 707 Headband (which was different from the last strain I had), and an Afpak. I really needed to address some heat issues if I was gonna try this inside again. I decided I was going back to the spare tub so I figured I better do some investing and buy a fan of some sort. After much deliberation, I came up with this set up:
P091110003.jpgP091110002.jpg
A piece of wood cut to fit the window opening with a duct hole. It works wonders! The window is only cracked about an inch. The mini blinds down make it look inconspicuous from the outside So I was ready to go. I started the plants flowering really small as you can see.
P092510001.jpg
Here they are a little over a month in. And then I slacked off on taking pictures, until the end.
P101410004.jpgP101410005.jpg
Getting closer! A nice Afpak nugget on the right.
P101410006.jpg
Here's a close up of the Durban.
P102110003.jpgP102110001.jpgP101810002.jpgP101410007.jpg
First two are a picture of the Afpak, and the last picture is the Kasey Jones. Totals to come...
