Mystery spot on bud ?

I found this weird brown spot in one of my buds. It’s right on the top of the cola. It’s a Scrog so it’s only one of my 32 colas.. it appeared in one day. It’s 4-5 weeks into flowering, Any ideas? Everything is pretty in check (temps nutes humidity) the only thing is my light got a little close. (12”. It’s a 315 cmh) could that have caused this ?

looks like a spot of bud rot, I would get some peroxide spray it get some twezers pull that dark stuff out then spray peroxide again. 3% peroxide wont hurt ya flowers.

I'd be slightly more aggressive and remove the flower all together. You want to nip this in the bud (pun intended) before it gets out of hand. This stuff can and will spread to your other plants if you're not careful. Conversely, I'd take a look at my humidity and temps and be sure they're in range. Good luck.

thanks guys! Temps are always 65-75 and rh 40-50... I’ll add another small fan but I don’t know what else I could really do. I’ve got air in and air out. I’m really hoping it’s just a piece that died off but it was strange how much it resembled a seed shell inside the bud. Which would be impossible

After removing the first 2 I have found 2 more on different colas. They are all on the tippy top of the cola. To me it looks like the calyx it’s self is changing color/dying? I wish I could convey how it feels hard to the touch almost like the calyx hardened up into a shell with the growth exploding out of it.. water levels dropped a little low in my dwc before this started but the bottom of the roots were still submerged. Could that have caused this ? Or is this a weird genetic thing??new pictures attached. Thanks guys! Happy 4/20

I have never seen anything like this. You think a bug made some sort of cocoon and the plant grew through it or something?

If it is part of the plant itself then it's something genetic IMO, not caused by root health or feed.

it looks very odd lol, it's like a seed that exploded out with pistils or something. I can't find anything on this sorry, it could be a mutation.
I agree it would be good if the mold wasn't dry when cutting it out to remove it

Yeah it’s really strange. So would you leave it or cut it out ? A weird symptom of fox tailing maybe..

I would want to get a pair of tweezers and try to peel that "husk" open and see the insides, I suspect more calyx growth inside. It does even look like there is a couple trichomes on that husk.

Having pulled apart the first 2 I can tell you yes it’s full of green and crystals on the inside. It has a clear bottom and top and now the new ones have not changed in 24 hours..

it really looks like a fucked up seed casing to me
it looks like the pistils grew through both sides of it lol I really don't know. I would rip a few off and check them out, document the strain and pics here, and see what happens

its azura haze from crop king. Lemon haze x blueberry. I ripped 2 apart yesterday. Just felt wrong haha full of nice growth
