Mystery seed, first grow, CFL

Trust me, I am not giving up. I just got home with a new bag of Foxfarm Ocean Forest, a new timer for the 400w light, and a ph test kit. I was really close to picking up the exact grow tent I want from them but it was $80 more than online and I don't need it right away. Hopefully by the next pay period I can order my tent.

As far as nutes go, I was thinking about starting with that Recipe for Success kit? I dont plan on growing more than 2 or 3 plants at first so I figured I don't need too much, should I get that or not?

oh i saw it on amazon, not a bad deal 33 bucks for all that stuff. Sounds pretty good to me but I dont know anything about the qulity of that stuff ya know

They have the FF trio for 35 bucks on there too. But you dont get all those extra goodies... hmm better get some better advice than I can offer. I'd tell you to get Miracle Grow, ha ha ha ha

Do a lot of people recommend that brand. I don't know shit i haven't learned in this grow so I never heard of it but for that price now I'm interested. Did you get any info on these nutes? If you do get info would u share with me?

because when they didn't know what they were doing they read the directions on the back of the MG box, followed those directions and killed or severly burned their plants. And once they tried HPS they thought that CFL were useless. That's my guess. I mean yeah HPS is awesome for flowering but not all of us are gonna spend that kinda money on a light.
I took it easy with the MG and used 8 CFl's for 2 plants and I'm a happy grower.

I have nothing against those, I wish they had worked for me cause that's all I had but I'm done fucking around, lol. I still plan to do a cfl/mg grow in the near future but for now, I'm going to put every last extra penny into making it as good a setup as I can

If you can man do it. I use them cause I have to not because I want to. Shit I WANT a warehouse filled with hydroponic systems, naked ex gymnasts working for me, and a perpetual stock of the most amazing buds in the world, but alas all I could afford is rubbermade totes, Miracle Grow and CFL's.....We do what we can with what we got but man if I could do that I'd be all over it! I'm jealous of what your set up is going to be. lol

The reviews on amazon for that kit are pretty good, I think it's worth a shot, I don't have the kind of money to get the good stuff right now

Worked well for me. Was really cheap as you can see, and doesn't have time released nutes so I'll probably just gonna get more of that for my next grow. Which may be starting in one month. We'll see...

I'm going to go to this hydro store if they have them back in stock next week. They have some really nice setups in there, I'd rather pay a little extra and get some person to person advice than spend time researching the net. Around my 2nd or 3rd grow, I'd like to try hydro

yeah man hydro definitely seems to be the way to go but you gotta have ample room and know what your doing or learn fast or you'll kill some crop.

I'd love to try my hand at hydro though like you I don't see it happening for a little while anyway.
