Newport "Near Zero" actually, meaning less that 50 ppm and there are five zeros after the decimal place, before a significant number at 3.5 ppm.

Finding absolute zero becomes a joke, as the lower you go in measurement, the more bits and pieces you find.

so ronson has 240 and newport has 3, are these both the same chemicals just dif levels?

We only paid to have one full blown analysis of the residual oil, but the latest schedule for a further analysis of that analysis, is later this this week. Specialty Analytical picked up the individual standards for all of the carcinogenic compounds discovered at any levels, and have added additional steps to isolate just those compounds for more precise testing.

No........
I believe its relatively easy to remove with a cold trap though

I agree, I believe on the S.P. site they said cold trap is the way to go.

Some heavier ones are removed by winterizing, and some lighter ones when you vacuum purge the oil, but the easiest way that I've found to remove it, is to discharge the cans of liquid butane into a container (cold trap) that is at 85F and pump off the butane that turns to a vapor, never pumping the pressure below zero (14.7 psi absolute). That leaves the contaminants behind in the cold trap.
