Hi Demon. Thusfar we have the airstone going 24/7 of course;) Prolly gonna get another 12" one and a dual-port pump really soon actually. The light cycle on them now is 18 on 6 off. The feeder tubes arent on all the time as of yet. Kyla the biggest one had roots well into the reservoir pretty quickly so once they get there the feeder tubes would be pretty much optional. I read on here that some peeps just take out the water pump after the root systems are established altogether. If you leave it in the whole grow and just trim your roots as they bush out then the stalks of your ladiez will be much bigger is another possibility I read about. So far we just plug it in for a few minutes twice a day on the biggest one and the seedlings we handwater every day and a half or so? Since we had the problem with the one...we thought we were overwatering a bit. So far the roots are growing pretty rapidly so theyd be drinking/eating on their own at that point. This is our first grow so we're learning as well :D Such is progress ;) Thanx for checkin out the thread. Its not goin nywhere.

The bad one looks like she may want more food. Like shes eating the nitrogen from the lower leaves. Give her 1/4 strength nutes.
Hi Beaver. You'll be glad to know that a few days ago I did a rez change and added 1/4 strength nutes to the whole 6 gallons ;) Transferred the other 3 back inside the tent since they were all basically the same heighth now. Roots were poppin through the rockwool in places so hopefully they'll all respond nicely :D Thanx for checkin out my thread. Feedback is always appreciated.

What about water level in the water basin? Ive seen bubbleponics that call for half air, half water, with a constant drip - but then Im seeing people with insane root growth with waters touching the bottom of their hydroton pots. Im wondering if there's any difference in top growth. I look at some plants at 14 days with crazy root systems, and others at 14 days without (forinstance), and there doesnt seem to be much difference in growth up top. Id like to see more root growth myself, so Im bringing the water level in the basin up to the pots. I need my system to produce some nugs - I cant afford to buy crap anymore.

Lulz I completely understand bro. My reservoir is calibrated at 6 gallons. This brings the water up to roughly 1" or so away from the bottom of the netpots. The bubbles from the airstone seem to do a pretty decent job at misting the bottoms of the pots. The biggest one seems to love it. I'm posting more pics today so I'll be sure to get more root shots posted. The whole bottom of the one pot is completely white from root growth ;) The other 2 smaller ones are popping now but I can only see like 1 or 2 big roots thusfar on the bottoms of those. The dripper system isnt running all the time quite yet on the smaller ones, but Kyla(the biggest one) seems to enjoy it more often than the others. Once they get a little bigger and I know they're established I definately plan on keeping it on 24/7. Holla ;)

Day 15 From Seed

Kyla and friends day 15 004.jpgKyla and friends day 15 006.jpgKyla and friends day 15 007.jpgKyla and friends day 15 001.jpg

Heres Kyla at Day 15. 1/4 strength nutes were induced a couple days ago. Seems to be enjoying it. Temps in the tent were at 80F. Humidity was still holding at 55%. PH is running around 6.0. PPM went up to 414, but the 4 of them manage to drink roughly a gallon and some change over the last couple days so I just re-added another gallon or so to the tank and left the nutes as is. I figure next couple of days when I add water again the PPMs would have dropped a little. Kyla's definately eating. The other 3 are mostly drinking from what I'm seeing.

Kyla and friends day 15 009.jpgKyla and friends day 15 008.jpgKyla and friends day 15 002.jpg

Heres the other seedlings. This is their 3rd or 4th full day in the tent. Roots were pokin through bottom of the rockwool so thats a good sign from them. They look almost identical thusfar. 1st set of true leaves are fluffing up nicely. 2nd set should be visible by now.

Kyla and friends day 15 003.jpg

Pic of the "bad" seedling. Still seeing extremely SLOW growth. The bottom leaves are definately dead/dying. I'm just gonna cut them off I think. The leaves that are growing on top are nice and green still. Hopefully it'll pull through soon or at least pick up the pace a bit. More pics in a couple days ;) Until next post.

Kylas fills ur heart with promise. I dont have as accessable a space, and the paper on the heat shield got wet so it looks like ass, not to mention my camera hates the red and blue LED light - but I took some pictures to try and compare since we're on the same day it seems.

Everybody except the last two are 15 day old (from sprout) Bubblator Ice Fem Autoflowers
- the last two are the mystery gender white widows, which are leading the pack and look very pretty for this age

I raised the water level to one inch below the pots and ran the bubbles all night long - everyone seems happy for the most part
The cardboard looks so crude, but again, I wouldnt be able to keep m water temps at or below 20C without it - screw it if it works, right?

Those LED panels look pretty sweet. I still need to wrap my reservoir as well :( If it works then F yea rock it lulz. For sure keep it updated. I'll do the same ;)

DAY 18 FROM SEED

Kyla and friends Day 18 003.jpgKyla and friends Day 18 007.jpgKyla and friends Day 18 001.jpgKyla and friends Day 18 005.jpgKyla and friends Day 18 006.jpg

So heres Kyla at Day 18 from germ. All I gotta say is...OMFG! I usually check on them personally everyday, but just got a new job and now I check on them every other day. If I dont then my wife does ;) Today is the first day I got see the infamous 5-fingered leaf:D I was so effing excited when I opened the tent today. To top it all off her roots have gone completely apeshiz. Fishbone and all :D Her leaves look nice and green. No discoloring that I can tell thusfar. I'm seeing the pistil-looking V almost EVERYWHERE now. Im trying to get my camera to get a good close-up, but no such luck yet. I'll figure out some way to get a shot of it. A couple days ago the leaves were curling under a little. I figured it was from a tad bit of overwatering and the adjusting to the nutes they were given. Cut back the feeder-tube cycle a bit. Now we turn it on manually 3x a day for a couple hrs. It seems to be working.

Kyla and friends Day 18 002.jpgKyla and friends Day 18 010.jpgKyla and friends Day 18 011.jpg

Here are the 2 feminized seeds we started a week ago. Today was their 7th day in the tent. As you can tell. Not so small anymore. Roots on these 2 are also WELL into the reservoir and eating/drinking on their own. They have some curled edges in some places tho. If you look in the pics you can see them I'm pretty sure. Wasnt sure if my light was starting to get a little too close or not. Help is always appreciated. Maybe its nothing, but Id rather ask and just wait for opinions before a freak-out.
Kyla and friends Day 18 004.jpgKyla and friends Day 18 008.jpgKyla and friends Day 18 009.jpg

These 3 pics are of the smallest seedling. Im not seeing ANY roots coming from the bottoms of the pot. I havent checked the rockwool itself, but it seems to be growing. Slowly, but definately progress with it. I was thinking maybe the roots got stuck inside the rockwool and couldnt find their way out? Is that called ROOTBOUND? Id just really like to help her in any way if I can. I may take a look at her more thoroughly 2morrow or something. Any tips or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

General Info
Temps in the tent were at 76-77F today when I checked. Humidity was holding at 57%ish. We've had the inline fan running in spurts. Temps went to 82 or so one day earlier this week and we decided it was time to start cycling that out as well. PH levels in the rez were at 6.5 when I checked it today. Added a gallon and 1/2 of water plus a "dash" of nutes to replace. PPM levels after nutes were at 400 and the PH levels dropped to 6.2. Will continue to monitor as we're new to growing, but so far we're having great results! Another few weeks and its flowering time :D Until next post!

DAY 24 FROM SEED

Heres a couple of pics of the system in general. The last 3 are of Kyla at day 24. Roots are filling out nicely. She's working on her 3rd internode now. Sometime in the next week or so we're going to be topping her off. Lovely.

Kyla and friends Day 24 007.jpgKyla and friends Day 24 011.jpgKyla and friends Day 24 008.jpgKyla and friends Day 24 010.jpg

Heres some pics of the 2 bigger seedlings. Fluffing out nicely if I say so myself. Their roots are also expanding rapidly. Seem to be taking the nutes in nicely. Working on their 1st set of internodes now:D They are now roughly 2 weeks old.

Kyla and friends Day 24 006.jpgKyla and friends Day 24 005.jpgKyla and friends Day 24 012.jpg

Heres the runt of the bunch at day 14 or so. She's tiny, BUT theres definately growth on her everywhere now. We did the "minor surgery" I mentioned in a previous post and found that there were three 1 1/2" roots out of the bottom of the rockwool. They couldnt seem to make their way out of the pot for some reason so we helped her out. That was a couple days ago and then today low and behold! Theres a friggin root out of the pot. Hoorayz!!! The bitch didnt die:D lulz Hopefully next set of pics I get she'll be taking off on us. The other 3 DEFINATELY are.

General Info

Temp -> 78F
Water Temp -> 70F
Humidity -> 65%
PH level -> 6.7ish (took down obviously)
PPM -> 424

We have a rez change on Tuesday which is when I will be boosting the nutes a little more. Going to try 1/3-1/2 strength and see how they do. Its not so much the 3 bigger ones I'm worried about, its the dwarf. Also on our 1st rez change I didnt note the numbers quite to my liking. This time I'll be taking PPM levels on the water AFTER a 24hr evaporation period to get a base number. Add my nutes at 1/3-1/2 strength, PH it out, then recheck so I know for SURE the amount of nutes I have left. Was my bad the last time. Never done this before so I was more worried about getting it done rather than documenting everything as I went. This time will be different. We're also going to be working on individual bubblers for the girls as well. With them bushing out I dont really wanna constrict them too much. No biggie just another minor task ;) If nyone has a decent place to get cheaper grow buckets I'm all ears. I really wanna go with like 3.5 gallon ones so in later grows we can fit more of them in a smaller space. Thanx for checkin back all. Until next post! Happy growing ;)

Very nice.. lol its bringing back memories when i was able to actually lift my net pots up to see the roots. They grow really fast when u switch to 12/12. I started my 12/12 cycle when they was like 18 inches now i have a 3 ft plant because i didn't top it. so keep that in mind. Other than that everything looking great.

This is a good read and a nice technique

DAY 28 FROM SEED(Kyla)

Kyla and friends Day 28 001.jpgKyla and friends Day 28 007.jpgKyla and friends Day 28 002.jpg

So heres Kyla at Day 28 or so in the Bubbleponics system. We did a rez change 2 days ago and I havent seen her since until today:( I was thrilled with what I encountered tho. PLENTY of healthy growth EVERYWHERE. Getting crowded quickly, which will bring me to another topic later in this post, but other than that everything is awesome. Her root system is STILL getting huge. I noticed some SMALL yellow spots on some of the bigger leaves, but there were only like 3 of them. She's getting closer to the light now. Thusfar, she's just been bushy and short. Over the past 2 days tho she's grown at least a couple inches vertically so the light move is coming up. She is getting topped sometime in the next few days. Just once probably. Bout it. Couldnt be happier ;)

DAY 16 FROM SEED(3 FEMALES)

Kyla and friends Day 28 005.jpgKyla and friends Day 28 009.jpgKyla and friends Day 28 006.jpg
These 3 pics are shots of the bigger females. We know that 3 of our 4 are the feminized. We just dont know the strain yet. Kyla is roughly 2 weeks older than the other 3, BUT we still dont know for sure if it'll end up female, we just hope lulz. We DO know that she is Royal Hash (Moroccan Hash plant/California Kush hybrid). Nywayz, these 2 ladiez are looking awesome as well. Definately swelled up and got taller since I saw them last. Roots are expanding as well. Seem to be liking the nutes thusfar. Saw a little nute burn in places, but it was just barely visible.

Kyla and friends Day 28 003.jpgKyla and friends Day 28 004.jpg

Heres the baby of the bunch. She looks as healthy as can be. Leaves definately look a different shape than the other 3 did. Her roots are going flipping crazy, which is why we're kinda stumped. She's done WELL over the last week especially, but she's a dwarf it seems. Maybe the strain or maybe a defect in the way we handled her? Idk, but she's filling out nicely. The other bigger bitches are kinda bullying her light supply, but we took care of that. Did some trimming and no worries. Im hoping she'll be FIRE.

General Info
PH -> 6.2 dropped to 5.7
PPM -> 490. They ate a bit it seems. Water level is dropping faster now. I'd say somewhere around 1/2 gallon or so a day between the 4 of them.
Water Temp-> 70F
Temp-> 75F
Humidity -> 65%. We've seen a SHIT TON of rain this past week or so.

Now for the other stuff. Basically the room that our tent is in is going to become one big growroom. We're going to split it into sections for different stages of growth. Clones, Vegging, and Flowering. Ordered 100FT of mylar and a bunch of other stuff. So thats going to be happening within the next week or so. As soon as it gets to my doorstep we're on it ;) Pretty excited to see how it turns out. Thats bout it really. Opinions are always welcome. Happy growing! Until next post
