mylar tent cfl 1st grow

this is my very first indoor grow so I'm still kinda in expirimental mode but please let me know what you think? 7 plants total will for sure put them in there own buckets from now on though. vegd 5 weeks some r 4 weeks 18/6 200w cfl's 6500k fan during light hours water when lights come on...fed once a week hi yield 20-20-20 i decided to go ahead and flower using 145w cfl 2700k's, I didnt know the soil u use inside matters so much as what i used from dollar general doesnt have adequit nutrients in it. next feeding will be 15-30-15...im also getting another veg room ready so i can veg otheres while flowering some too any suggestions and help is highly appreciated. thanks 1004121224b.jpg1004121224.jpg1004121224a.jpg

well first thing that jumps out is that you need to rasie your light up so that your plant can grow upwards they r rly short and stubby b/c they light i s so close raise it a little also u need better lights those are horrible i used them years and yearsago when i first tried and they didnt work at all also what kind of relection.. is that foil? if so horrible idea creates heat spots on ur plant move to mylar (ebay) anythings else?

i usually go 20/4 for vegging ... i don't agree with taz man.. the lights are fine.. in fact i may even lower them just don't have them touching the plant. and then raise them as they grow.

i'd also add more lighting ... with 2 plants i had a total of 15 lights


check out my pics.. i grow with all CFL's like that.... and to prove taz wrong... this is what i got.

mylar reflects light not heat.. yeah man more lights and get em in there n(remember the more lights.. the bigger and denser your buds will be).. make sure your temps are like 78.. it can go as high as 85 but try to keep it under that. also the nutes.. i'd get lower on the nitrogen during flower .. 15 is still kinda high..

oh and as a general rule that i follow is i never flower less then 70 days

Your plants and set up looks just fine. I grow under similar conditions except my tent is smaller. (4 plant max)

However with CFL's I'd think about lumens rather than number of lights/watts etc. Use 6-8k lumens in veg then 8-10k lumens per plant in flower as a guide. Get those plants surrounded! With CFL's you want all the angles covered. Your distances should be no more than 4 inches away from plant so you are looking good!

Oh forgot to ask. The fan turned off during dark period. What is the thought behind this? I keep mine on 24/7. I could be wrong by the way as I'm only on my 2nd grow myself.


ps Did you name the strains or bagseed?

well i researched a little and saw somewhere it said fan off during dark period...but that may not be best....thanks i gata get more lumens...just bagseed for now i did order ag kush and gh damn sour and they actually came but i got talked into not expirimenting with those seeds n grow some regular stuff first now dont get me wrong it was good smoke should grow good buds il add 3-4 more lights and see what happens then next time i veg il be ready

Dude, your plants look good! Nice work with the cfl'.... I use them as we'll, just much larger single bulbs(4)....and have seen some nice results too!
My questions to you are, how many actual watts are you using?
And what is that space ship looking box with lights, behind your plants? You know in the bottom of tent, lights on it? LEDs?? Piece of spaceship you found? Lol

Picture 4....see the thing with lights on it? Maybe I'm seeing things? Behind plants, lower back wall? Is it a fan? Looks like a flux capacitor??? lol

HAHA! its the weed spaceship!! hahaha! well all my cfls are 23w (so 15x23 watts total) ... the red spaceship looking thing is a 15 watt LED red spectrum grow board.. that is in there more for an experiment to see if it would actualy do anything cuz you would need a much higher wattage for a LED board... so i aimed it so its hitting the lower branches of one plant only. it did help cuz the other plant without it on wasn't as bushy

i 'm growing 2 more plants now (those in the pics are harvest.. cured etc) and am getting higher wattage for this one. !
