I recomend buying a quality industrial level staple gun and going nuts. Start at the top and keep it tight as you work to avoid wrinkles. Once you get your walls covered, trim off excess with a razor knife. ~ the highwayman

duct-tape
i just hung some and duct tape and it is holding great. Why make holes.
Staples always worked the best for me. Matter of preference I guess. I will never reuse this mylar and when I build a room speed is of the esscennce. Normally I dont bother cutting scrap. I just fold it around corner and restaple. But I might use different methods depending on circumstances.

why make holes? id rather have a pinhead size set of holes from a staple gun than 3 inch wide strip of colored tape, that said, ive been using tape, lol, i find the aluminum tape works well, very sticky, and made of thick foil, reflects better than most tape, and the walls of my cab are only 3/8 of an inch thick, so staples werent an option.

i use tape then staple thru it. i found that staples cause it to rip without a piece of tape covering the area to be stapled. you can also use velcro it comes in rolls with sticky on the back. makes for easy cleaning.

I hung mine with duct tape, so wrinkly. Mylar definately isn't the easiest of materials to hang... next time I am going with the white paint.

Not sure with the concrete but i would probably put up strips of wood using concrete screws... first you drill a hole into the concrete and put the screw in. one piece will grab as you backout the screw... put wood trim around the edges with the screw and then duct tape the mylar up staple on the edges and use another strip of duct tape if you are worried about the staple hole. If you are concerned about any gaps between the wall I would use a styro insulation to fill any gaps.

I was curious if anyone used any kind of caulking to hold mylar??? Seems like it would work to hold it or even fill the staple holes in a permanent set up.

One area I was working in I just modified the aluminum tubing for a grow tent to fit my area and tucked in the the extra material. But you definitely want to pull out the excess material every once in a while and vaccuum it to make sure there aren't any mites hanging out there.

Good luck :leaf:

Take toilet paper rolls and cut you up some 1.5" x 1.5" squares. Using an industrial staplegun with 5/8" crown staples, staple the paper square to the wall several times, with the mylar between the square and the wall. It prevents the mylar from tearing because the paper roll square takes on any pressure.

if you want a top job and have a perminant building /room use wall paper paste great smooth finish and easy to work with or spray glue please note the spray glue is only an option if room has not crop in it hope this helps.............

I know this is OLLLLLDDDDDDD but just in case.. Get silicone and a flat trowel put out the silicone then spread with FLAT part of trowle. WORKS FUCKING AWESOME!!!! you only need around the edges and (if you do more its fine.. You have some play room after you put it on will never rip no holes to tear it's fucking great!

also I have used all other means mentioned (cept glue) that just seems like to much work.. I was ready to use my ball sack if it meant it would work.. If you just use a bead and not spread it takes time.. if you spread it you can apply instant and it sticks!! .. you can peel off incase you fuck up ~ you can pull on sides and corners too to flatten it out. PLUS is it dosen't flatten out it makes a dome (it's fine) I use it on my ceiling for my room (4 feet by 8 feet) by my self! no fucking hassel! I use kitchen bathroom anti mold stuff ~ It smells like huffing viniger for a short bit but can be done any time!!!

I recommend thin plywood then use staples to hold it in place stretch the Mylar over the plywood where least amount of wrinkles are shown and staple it down the more staples the merrier
