Has anyone used myclobutanil on their plants during veg? Is it safe as long as it’s not used in bloom? Thoughts?

I haven't and I won't. Doesn't sound like something you want to be using on cannabis.

Myclobutanil is considered a systemic fungicide, meaning it is absorbed either through the roots or the leaf tissue and transported throughout the plant. It is hotly debated how long a systemic pesticide like myclobutanil can remain inside the cannabis leaf tissue, but conservative estimates suggest up to 12 weeks.

In Canada, the pesticide is permitted and approved for human consumption in small amounts, but it becomes much more dangerous when smoked or inhaled. For these reasons, it's also banned for the production of cannabis in Colorado, Washington, and Oregon.

When heated, myclobutanil produces toxic fumes like hydrogen chloride, hydrogen cyanide, and nitrogen oxides.

Even though it is a "systemic"......The actual "effective concentration" in the plant last's about 2 weeks or so - for cannabis.

The detrimental effect's by concentration....last much longer!

Avoid it's use at all cost's!

It is better to simply use a horse tail grass tea with some Green Cure in it (to break the surface tension of the tea) to control the PM till you can get and use an Ag sulfur burner.

Even though you might use the burner. You still have to sanitize under anyplace the sulfur fumes can not reach. Do this with a bleach sanitizing spray of as little as 1:10 or as much as 1:8 bleach to water.

Thanks for the replies. It looks like mixed reviews regarding this stuff. For the replies that said it’s fine and for the replies that say it’s no good even in veg, can you share where you got your data?

I got my data from work in college and lab time.
You don't get much from researching the brand names of any "cide".
You'll do better to research the active chemical in it.

Great source of actual toxicity tests (lots of college terms and #'s used in them).. Search the web for a site called "Toxnet".

I’m gonna have to say either they are pulling your leg or the lab they are using has no integrity. This stuff is horrible and shows up in cuts of cuts of cuts

Didn't an LP have residual Mycobutinal in their plants that they sold to patients, who were then coughing up blood... because it burns into Hydrogen-Cyanide?
