You do these or the wifey?

Color came out real nice on that fish.

Not to shabby for a shade tree tattooist!!!

Maybe soon you 2 can have a tattoo/glass shop.
i'm still doing them. she's still too nervous.

i found it easier to tattoo myself then her. i can feel where the needle is going when i do myself. when i'm tattooing her it's harder to tell how deep i'm going and exactly where my lines are. i was shaking for the first 30 mins. it took 35.

Very cool! Makes me interested in investing in a tattoo gun. There's a lot of tattoos on my body that could either be touched up or covered up, lol.

Lol.....better toss her in the fire now or she might back out on ya.

Have her do her first one on the bottom of your foot incase she feels she screwed ya up!Shouldn't be hard to convince her no body will see it.

You have zero experience doin tats? That fish is really fookin good seeing the pic next to it.By the looks of it by the time ya get about half of a leg done it should be smooth sailin for ya.

How long did the fish take you?

I like how you did the coloring on the fish but I think a joint in its mouth would of looked better then the bubbles.

start to finish, with safety breaks. i only have 1 gun so i have to readjust everything when i change needles. the outline took less then 30 mins. probably closer to 15. 2 hours includes set-up time as well. :)

what size needle did you use looks like a 3r
you should go back over it with a 5r these are the needles you will use the most of
try to set the depth ofthe needle the thickness of a nickle. if the needle is to long you will get a lot of skin pulling
hit you tube up they have a lot of good free howto videos
but that last tat you did you will have to go back over the lines

i used a 5rl to do the lining. i used a 9rs the fill in the color.

i set my needle depth at a nickel, my gap on my gun is set at a dime for lining at 7-8v. it gets set to a nickel and 8-9v for shading.

go back over what lines? :?

overall the tat is great
just giving my $0.02 on what i see,, i do tats also .....
some of the lines
are not dark enough
when it heals they will fade more in about 3-4 days you will see what i'm saying
the top and bottom fin could be darker and the eye also
personally i would go back of the lines once it has healed (less painful)
re: with your hand that is not holding the gun pull that skin tight this helps to reduce the bounce of the skin
(thumb and middle finger) put a small amount of vaseline over the area you are about to ink .. this will also aid in the movement of the gun

you're critiquing my work, as if i'm incapable. i find it rude and insulting.

you don't think i researched things such as "needle depth" or "needle size"? you don't think i'm aware of youtube videos? how about the stack of books i bought? or my friends nearby? you are posting advice, based on assumptions.

you simply take the fact that you yourself tattoo therefore you feel the need to "help" me.

like i said, everything you shared with me i already knew, and i thanked you for your attempt at help.

i apologize if this hits you hard. sorry you couldn't be of more help to me. if i have any questions i'll hit you up, if that's ok? :)

Backhanded compliment

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A backhanded compliment, also known as a left handed compliment, or asteism is an insult that is disguised as a compliment. Sometimes, a backhanded compliment may be inadvertent. However, the term usually connotes an intent to belittle or condescend. [1]
A backhanded compliment may fool the listener, but the compliment remains "backhanded" because the speaker is being intentionally slighting and insulting. In some cultures, backhanded compliments are considered a genteel or polite way of expressing disdain.
Examples of backhanded compliments include:
"That dress is lovely; it does wonders for your figure."
"You're smarter than you look."
"You drive very well, for a woman."
"Your son is more handsome than I would have expected."
In each instance, there is an initial compliment: praising a piece of clothing, a person's intellect, a person's driving ability, or a person's looks. However, each instance also includes an implied criticism: the person's figure desperately needs improvement; the person appears unintelligent on the surface; women don't drive well, and therefore any skill at driving is noteworthy; the son's parents are unattractive.

i was gonna do another one yesterday, but i felt that would be "going overboard". if i tattoo myself everyday i'll be out of skin in a month. i'm trying to pace myself.

so far i've been working on my thighs. you can't see them even when i'm wearing shorts. i don't want anything on my lower legs, unless it's really good. and i don't think i'll ever put anything on my arms. i'm not a biker. ;)

thank you kindly for the compliment. :)
