My whole room got pollinated.. Scrap it?

Hello. It appears that One of my sweet Kush plants went Hermie on me and pollinated the whole crop..(I had two in here that I got from a buddy, which I now am assuming came from a hermie plant to begin with)
Every plant now (18-5' GSC's and Kosher kush's) has seed pods growing in most of the buds. I am 4 weeks into flower and to make this even better I just found out that I have root aphids.. So, I am now deciding wether to keep riding this out and see what happens with these plants.. I guess I could make bubble with the whole crop?? Or just scrap it and have the time to clean the whole room and start fresh.. Which seems the best sure way to get rid of RA? Never had any plants go to seed so I am not sure what the finished product would be like?? Any help appreciated.

seeded bud is no less potent than sensi, just has seeds in it..

it it's for your own use, i'd keep it going.. seeds are a pita, but not like we've never had to deal with them before..

My best advice would be to do it in a Moroccan way ! Try Youtube to see how we deal with cannabis in here ! there is a good method to extract THC !
First you let it dry , week or 2 !
Then you take all stuff from the top (one foot long if you got big plants, half a foot if not)
Put this in a sieve of cloth up a container and close it carefully so nothin goes out !
Slap it more and more till you get the pouder ! You can extract the seeds from the rest or throw it !!

Pollinated bud is less potent than sinsemilla - hence why sinsemilla is what we're all after. It's still smokeable and will still get you baked. I'd agree not to scrap the whole crop though - plenty of uses for it still.

Finish your grow. You're not gonna lose THAT much potency. Then clean the room with bleach to clear as much of the pollen as possible.

Pick through the buds keep the seeds (hoping it wasn't a true hermie and that trait doesn't get carried on)
Buy some bubble bags. Make some hash!

I'll take some of those seeds off your hands :)

Sounds like a good cross. Use the seeds for an outdoor grow next spring. I think everyone should make a few seed.

I definitely found the culprit... Two of the kush plants had multiple empty pollen sacks.. they had so many nice flowers on top I guess I didnt notice the sacks forming before it was too late.. I have always grown from clone so this was a bit of a learning curve.. Lesson learned. Keep checking even after flowers have formed on any unknown seed.
I am now wondering if any of the seeds that I am going to have will be viable, or will they all have a dominant hermaphroditic tendency? Not interested in running any sort of breeding experiment and especially if its at the cost of the whole crop.

From what I understand about breeding (which is not that much)...

A seed will be composed 50/50 of mom and dad or in this case mom and tranny.

If they are true hermies then every seed has a 50/50 chance of being female or hermie.

you're not going to lose ANY potency..
I'm curious as to what you're basing your argument off of - when everything I've ever read on the subject says differently. And no reputable club or dispensary, at least in Northern Cali, would get away with selling seeded bud unless it was at a lower cost point because it is less potent.

My understanding is that buds stop focusing on THC production once pollinated and instead put their energy towards producing seeds - thus THC potency is lacking compared to sinsemilla. I'm not sure if that applies to CBDs at all, which may be what you mean.

If no potency was lost, no one would care about sinsemilla unless they didn't like a pop in their bowl when blazing every now and then.

Seeds do not cause a decrease in potency. That is a myth. I have had more than one strain tested and none have showed a difference when they hermied some seeds. Seeds just add weight to the end product and people feel cheated if they get a bag with seeds. Before submitting this sample I removed 1 seed I had found in the Bud. This test came out with nearly identical test results to the prior seedless run. IDK why it started to Hermi, possibly because of certain stresses I was inducing on it. Hermi'd plants are still somewhat a pseudo science. There really is no true proof as of yet what causes all hermi's. We know of a hand full of proven reasons but one I am unsure of is Feminized seeds. I have yet to have one hermi. I do know from experience that LIGHT will cause it. A light leak now and then doesn't, well maybe if you have a very unstable strain. Though when I did my test I was switching lights on for 3 hours then off for 2 and back on for 9, then off again for 12, then on for 5 and off for 7... get the idea. Just screwing up the cycle.
Sorry for blanking out the descriptive stuff like where it was tested or my name :) You can trust what you want or believe what you want. I don't care. I know what I know due to what I have had tested and I am not telling you to grow hermi's. I am just telling you that people who claim that potency is lost are a bunch of sheep leading sheep.
