Ok here goes. I am quite new so tell me what yall think.
i am going to get two 8' by 4' particle boards and cut out three 4' by 2.5' from one board and then one 4' by 2.5' and two 2.5' by 2.5' out of the other board.
SO in the end i now have a box that is 2.5 by 2.5 by 4 feet high.
I am only going to grow 1 northern lights plant at a time. It is a small plant hence the small space.
This box will be put in an attic. There is a small tube in the attic that used to be a ventilation shaft for a stove or something. its about 4-5 inches wide metal tubing. I want to ask yall if i should use this as an exhaust or an input device (or inhalation device? im at a loss for words lol). There is also a "window" covered in slats and mesh wire in the attic that goes straight to the outside. Should i use that as the
"inhaler" or exhaust.
What i was thinking is using pc fans as exhaust through the metal tube (that goes to the roof) and then use that flexible wire/foil/plastic tubing and just duct tape it to that window with slats and use that as the "inhaler". Avg temps in my area from july to october is, 82, 82, 78 then 68 respectively. In addition to the intake/exhuast i am going to have a pc fan with a carbon filter in the box itself. I am going to use roofing tar paper to cover the entire inside of the box and then cover that with aluminum foil.
Now for lighting i am at a loss. I already have 4 26w cfl bulbs equivalent to 4 100w bulbs. They are 2700k. Can someone give me a plan for when to use which bulbs and how many?
I dont have time or money for a ballast so hps bulbs are a no. I would however like any bulb that you can just plug in. so my question is is there any hps bulb or mh bulb that i can just plug in?
Other than all this im going to mainly use the potting soil techniques found in other guides on this site. Tell me what yall think!
