I just wanted to keep a journal of this grow for future reference

Started 5 Jack Herer auto fem seeds that were from a previous plant that produce a few seeds.

IMG_2442.JPG

these plants are hempy using perlite with a soil cap and core
IMG_2445.JPG

4 of 5 doing well
IMG_2451.JPG

the fifth gal is toast
IMG_2454.JPG

having issues with the cold, just can't keep the temps in the 70's as such the algae is forming
IMG_2457.JPG

the CFL bulbs are just not producing enough heat, the LED strip is only 19 watts ....running 24 hrs/day
IMG_2459.JPG

Removed the soil cap as the algae was growing on top of the soil cap
IMG_2472.JPG

keeping the lights close to concentrate the heat onto the plants
IMG_2479.JPG

I like to give my gals some sunshine when available, which is not often in the winter
IMG_2483.JPG

The two on the left are getting MaxiBloom and the two on right are getting Dyna Gro nutes....the damn algae is forming on the perlite now
IMG_2485.JPG

Temps are getting a bit better....around 75F
IMG_2491.JPG

a few yellow leaves on the bottom
IMG_2496.JPG

added a 15 watt LED bulb
IMG_2500.JPG

another sunny day for the gals to suntan
IMG_2505.JPG

the geto tin foil/beer case hood
IMG_2507.JPG

I replaced the top perlite with soil.....will see if this forms algae again
IMG_2511.JPG

a view without the hood
IMG_2512.JPG

The fog was so thick you couldn't see a 100 yards, then all of a sudden I notice sunshine....you can see some of the lower areas are dark where the fog is still blocking the sunshine but clear up high

IMG_2520.JPG

Loving the sunshine

The algae isn’t really a problem but if I were doing it
Scrape off the top and then lift plant from cup and add fresh soil around the roots
Those kids will double in size in a cup

These are hempy with 100% perlite, the soil cap is just the top 1/2 inch..... the soil is fresh so not much algae to be concerned with

4 days in a row with sunshine which is amazing considering it's cold outside

IMG_2580.JPG

the gals in a lineup
IMG_2583.JPG

only get about 2 1/2 hours of direct sunshine this time of year, but I take advantage of whatever I can
IMG_2591.JPG

contently moving them around to get the best direct sunlight
IMG_2593.JPG

the rock filled bases help to stabilize the gals when moved around
IMG_2599.JPG

Still getting quite a few sunny days which really helps when using a low powered LED

Oh my. Where’s the media? Reminds me of those renaissance paintings of an orgy, with so much going on you can’t see anything that’s really going on.

Kickass job
